I was a bit perplexed and disappointed 😞 with Target today. My sisters and I were helping an elderly woman, who had obviously done too much shopping, and wasn't coping with her grocery shopping bags and walker. She had also purchased an Air Frier, from a store other than Target, and the sheer size of that box, plus her other bags was going to be an impossible task for her to carry/support/ move anywhere. We asked for a trolley in Target and were told they were only for in store shoppers. Our good deed was now turning into a task for us, carrying the Air Fryer, plus her shopping bags, and our own shopping bags, down one floor, across the aisle, out through the car park to the taxi rank, while also walking at the elderly woman's pace. We finally got a Taxi driver more than willing to help with the bags and box into the car, and guaranteed us he would help her the other end. Our good deed was appreciated by the woman, but we were very disappointed that Target wouldn't allow us to use a trolley to make the whole experience easier...
Read moreStore has been changed layout is different to previous. Maybe stock on shelfes and racks reduced. My interest has been men's wear and that moved and new layout. There are noprescribed paths on floor as previously done in different colour tiles. Now the floor is a light grey vinyl tiles homogonous through out. Departments are shown around the outer walls with large signs. Most of the store is visible from any location as high fixtures appear to been totally removed. The pricing has changed relating to marketing as the sister store Kmart has grown substancially but the Target has lost ground. I do notice that the quality of men's wear appear to been downgraded in the area I shop larger sized and mature goup. Shirts have deterioated in quality as to 12 months ago. I guess trying to go cheaper manufacturing to get more profit. I have noticed the hot fashion for younger men had grown in areas but not of...
Read moreI've always been a fan of target but have found myself over the past few years going there less and less. Why, you might ask....I find the quality is just not what it used to be and prices have remained mid range. I can go to kmart and find the same quality for less and be supported by a retail officer. Target has gone from good customer support to almost nothing at all. I dislike the new self service concept and trying to get help whilst in-store is almost non existent. However, as I visit the same stores regularly I do note mostly the same staff who are always attentive , friendly and helpful. Although I realise and accept change I find target a very impersonal shopping experience and think I may as well sit at home and do online shopping in the comfort of...
