TTP Charging Parking Fines Now - Be Careful Fellow Shoppers

Dear TTP Management / Owners, I would like to thank you issuing me with a parking fee yesterday. Not saying I did nothing wrong, I actually did, there was a time limit of 1.5 hours and I left my car parked for 2 hours, so the fine is legit. What is disappointing though is that there was no clear information to raise the awareness that the Shopping Centre is charging parking fines now if you do not comply with the regulations. Not at all. All there was was a tiny sign at the steel column at 2m height, which I failed to see at the time I was parking my car, and I deeply believe that 90% of visitors fail to see also, so it is unclear in my head if that was done on purpose or is it just a poor design? While I do not have anything against time limitation for car park while shopping, I really think there should be some sort of 'can`t miss to see' info for drivers entering the car park, like big banners at every entry point or similar, or even inside of shopping centre, idk there are hundreds ways if you really want to make drivers aware. So after 15 years of being a loyal customer, always supporting local business instead of doing online shopping, even got my daughter employed in TTP MYER I got this $63 nice surprise. Like we do not struggle enough to make ends, looking at every chance to save couple of $$$, I am amazed how the rich always find a way to use us as a money tree. Not to mention that Councils 'fees and charges register' for 2024-25 actually says the fine for '37 Exceeding Time Limit s.8(6)' is actually $61.00, so here you go, another 2$ on top of what we were supposed to be charged. It looks to me that the TTP senior leadership got them a nice pay rise this year.

I give 1 star to parking hoax and 4 stars to shopping centre itself, so Im being generous here rounding up to 3 stars overall. Youre welcome

Cheers everyone and enjoy...

Every Westfield design is an absolute nightmare! The parking lots are a total mess - you've got Indian drivers signaling from like 150 feet away trying to snatch spots, the roads are full of potholes, lanes make zero sense, and don't even get me started on those stupid turning radiuses that no one thought through. But wait, it gets better! If you come in from Smart Road, you HAVE to go through this mega-busy roundabout that's just as bad as the death trap known as Britannia Roundabout. Gotta love those British rules - who needs traffic lights when you can just yolo your way in, right? And North East Road entrance? Even worse! It's completely jammed, and if you get stuck in the middle of the road - boom! Cops will pull you over for a ticket. Nowhere to pull aside either. It's basically just a police ATM machine, perfect for their quota! Inside, Adelaide only has Marion and Tea Tree Plaza that are half decent shopping centers, but even they're a total mess. It's embarrassing, honestly. And don't forget Marion had that incident recently - their security is clearly a joke. What an absolute shambles! You want to call it Western laid-back style? More like total chaos inside. You want to call it following rules? More like mindlessly copying British "regulations" without any thought. Oh how SOPHISTICATED of them to have such a "quaint little rural mall" Western-style! Really showcasing that "small town charm" they're so proud of! Must be what peak Western civilization...

It was my first time visiting Westfield TTP today. It is one of the three Westfields available in Adelaide, and it probably ranks the 2nd largest Westfield in Adelaide. Westfield Marion is big but a bit old and quite old-fashioned. This Westfield TTP has been renovated in the past few years and the zone with JB Hi-Fi, Zone Bowling, MECCA, Litchi Fresh and Grocer, new food court etc. look pretty new, so I guess they have been opened last year or just a couple of years. The outdoor dining area outside the food court is great. There are around 8 to 10 restaurants and also a very new HOYTS Cinema. All these premises were upgraded not too long ago. In fact, everywhere inside the shopping mall looked had gone through some upgrading and with many shops looked newly opened or quite recently renovated / upgraded. My overall impression was great. It is bright with natural sunlight, clean and tidy, including the sofas, chairs and restrooms etc. Even they are not too big, but I will probably prioritise this Westfield as my number 1 shopping mall in Adelaide.

Westfield Tea Tree Plaza is a large shopping centre located in Modbury serving as a shopping hub for Adelaide's growing north eastern suburbs, it is linked to the city by Adelaide's O-Bahn Busway, which terminates at the Tea Tree Plaza Interchange. Major tenants include Myer, Harris Scarfe, Target, Kmart, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Hoyts. With 245 stores, Tea Tree Plaza is the second largest shopping centre in Adelaide, only Westfield Marion is larger. There is a smaller shopping centre building called Tea Tree Plus slightly to the north of the main centre. The centre was built by Myer Shopping Centres as part of an extensive subdivision of the area, which at the time was the largest remaining underdeveloped, non industrial land in the Adelaide metropolitan area. The centre opened in September 1970. Located in the City of Tea Tree Gully, it is the major shopping hub for the north-east of Adelaide. Tea Tree Plaza is owned by AMP Capital and the Scentre Group, each owning 50%.
