Caffe Primo — Restaurant in Adelaide

Went here for tea with my teenage son. Have been before and it has been lovely. This time though wasn't as good. I ordered the cannelloni special and my son ordered pasta. We waited about 30mins for our meals. That is no problems, as I am happier to wait and have fresh food. The couple next to us who arrived after us received their meals first. The male ordered schnitzel however the female had pasta put in front of her and she looked confused. This was because it was my son's meal. A waitress figured out the mistake and brought the food over to my son, thankfully before the female took a bite. So the staff had brought over one meal for each table, instead of both meals for one table. The female and I were a bit confused as to why we were both waiting on meals at separate tables. 5 mins later the female got her meal and I was still waiting. Another 10mins went by and I got my meal (just about as my son had finished eating). I wouldnt mind but the food itself was luke warm in some parts. I think the cannelloni was luke warm and the bolognaise sauce on top was hot, but it was inconsistant throughout. It was tasty enough, but I was a little disappointed, especially as I waited the longest to get my meal. I think they may only have had one chef on hence the big waits. ZERO STARS!!! I am very disgusted with the costumer service, especially from the person that is "the boss", which he continued to tell us. He needs to learn customer service skills!! We waited for more than 35 mins for our meal and in that period of time we got two waitresses asking if we had finished, as they need the table. We had only received our coffees during this period, not our main meals. We had to ask at the counter twice for our meal. The third time we went to the counter, (after they made it clear they wanted the table) we decided to ask for a refund for the food we hadn't received, because they had made us feel uncomfortable and we no longer wanted to stay and be treated poorly. The boss down right refused the refund, stating that he was 'the boss' and would NEVER give a refund. We told him many times that his staff had cone around trying to get us off the table and he refused to take any accountability for his waitresses poor behaviour. By the end, he said the food was finally ready and refused to refund us and not once offered an apology for HIS behaviour.. In the end we were forced to leave, with no food, no refund and no apologies!! He 'the boss' has stolen...

Staff were very friendly but it’s a bit pricey compared to old menu. We thought we hadn’t been there for a while so we went for a random dinner. The chicken curry was good, my partner loved it but it was a lot hotter than expected. The butter chicken was awful, it didn’t taste even a slight bit like butter chicken and had an unusual tang to it. The old butter chicken is 110% better. The naan bread was cut into quarters and you only get two out of the 4, and all I could taste was charcoal. The rice was average, definitely not worth the money. The kids chicken nuggets and chips was ok and my daughter seemed to like most of it, the chicken tasted a bit weird. The free pancake was lovely though. It was also weird I had my dish almost 10 minutes before my partners and the kids one came out at the same time as mine when in most places it comes out first, luckily we ordered the mini garlic bread which was tiny but enough for a small piece each and tasted just as great as ever. So the two stars are for the food that was good and the great service from the ladies that assisted us....
