Ant&Elephant at Tea Tree Plaza: Good food and decent coffee but the staff member (male who is most likely the manager) could have been more understanding or perhaps more customer friendly. I am a regular customer and been using their loyalty card for coffee. I did not know that they have loyalty card for meal too and was never told about it either. Last time I visited, I happened to see the loyalty card for meal and I took one. I explained the gentleman that not too long ago I had food and if he would be kind enough to stamp the meal loyalty card to which he rightfully said that he will need to see receipt or transaction. In a few minutes I was able to show him my credit card transaction as I did not have receipt of over $40 and he still denied saying that he won't stamp as he can't confirm how many items I had. I chose not to argue and went on eating the food I had ordered on the day (got 2 stamps for that day). I understand that he cant determine exactly how many items I had but I am sure he could have guessed that I would have at least had one item as the amount was over $40 and could have politely explained that he could give one stamp only. Such a gesture would have gone a long way. For that one stamp, he may not realise that he lost a...
Read moreDisappointing lunch for myself, my partner and our child. I ordered a chicken parmy for $15 which is fine if it's good. But my first issue- no ham on a parmy? What? A very thin amount of tomato sauce (no, not napoli sauce, this tasted like an 80cent can of pureed tomato from coles) and a little bit of greasy cheese. I'm a bit of a schnitzel lover myself and so I was thoroughly disappointed. This is the kind of parmy I would have made myself at home when I was in high school. Next, on to the 'salad' and chips. Chips were cooked okay but had no salt and so completely lacked any flavour, and the joke of a salad was rocket, ONE piece of cucumber and ONE piece of tomato. Hmm... perhaps a 13 year old work experience student was cooking? My partner ordered a hash brown mountain which consisted of two hash browns, some egg, cold and undercooked bacon and a strange sauce that was attempted to be passed off as hollandaise. Not impressed. My two year old, however was very impressed with her spaghetti bolognese... however I could have opened my own can of heins spaghetti and heated it up and it wouldn't cost me $8 either. Poor service also... serving the adults meals and leaving our toddler waiting. Won't be...

The Food: Ordered Eggs Benedict and received a cold piece of brioche bun, a thin slice of what looked like Coles deli ham, frozen shredded spinach (that was cold and sopping wet), store bought holandaise and a HARD BOILED EGG..
The service: Ordered Eggs Benedict which took 45 minutes to arrive despite ordering when there were only 3 other tables in the cafe. When the meal finally arrived the waitress dropped the food all over me, but was very apologetic about it (the only redeeming factor about this god awful establishment). She then proceeded to pick up the spilled eggs, toast and holandaise with her fingers and took the food back to the kitchen promising to bring me a fresh plate (oh great another 45 minute wait). This "fresh" plate of food took no more than 2 minutes to arrive, and I have a sinking suspicion that the waitress or chef simple replated my food and brought it back out.
Summary: If I could give it less than one star I would! Don't even bother wasting your time! This place needs to die a quick and...
