City of Tea Tree Gully Library — Attraction in Adelaide

The library is amazing. It has books for all categories and has a wide range of ages, such as elderly people to toddlers. My own little girl loves coming here to explore and read. The staff are excellent and helpful. There is also story tim, which my toddler enjoys. My eldest, 12 year old, lives going because she is a reading fanatic and loves english and literacy. Everytime we go, she goes straight to the purple shelves, for 13 to 20 or something like that, because books she loves are always there. Sometimes she also enjoys books she found in the kid section or in the adults section, not just in the teens to young 20 area. They always have great books, but if you cant find one your looking for, the staff will either help you find it or see if they have it at another library, order it for you and send you an email when it gets there. This is a really nice library. The staff are very kind and helpful. The system of finding books via a computer database and letting you know when they're ready is super advanced and quick(compared to what you'd find in my country) The only reason i don't award 5 stars is that there are far too many noisy and chatty people in the library - treating it like it was a market square - and the staff don't do anything about it (once again, in my country it is forbidden to make any noise in a public library - something I completely agree with. I used to love this library It has a great range to borrow but it's just so noisy now. Far from what I always knew a library to represent. Somewhere quiet to visit it is no longer. Recently I went to read a book and sat myself by the window as the view was beautiful but all I could hear was a gentleman on his microphone earpiece giving a training session to a group of people It really was so noisy Surely that kind of thing can be done in a private room in the community centre.
