Miss Traill's house is a wonderful old home, preserved and managed by the National Trust. It is another time capsule to a time past, with the last resident having passed away in 1976. The house showcases how life was lived in a regional city by those of independent means. The tour guides are knowledgable and share some amazing stories of the house and it's previous inhabitants. Visiting hours are only on Sundays, as it is attended to by volunteers. It was so interesting walking through the home because it is so well maintained, it's like walking into a time machine and coming out in the early 1900's! I love art and architecture and if you do to you'll love your visit.The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable and it was so interesting learning how the home and Miss Traill were so closely linked to the growth of the Bathurst area.
