Country Coffee — Restaurant in Bathurst

Happy Days, and smiling people. After a bad experience, trying to enter another cafe, walking in here was a breath of fresh air. We were immediately greeting by someone with an arm full of dishes and a beautiful smile. We asked for a table for two, and said she wouldn’t be a moment, and walked away with her arms filled with plates from the table she had obviously just cleared. She spoke to someone else as she walk away and asked her to clean a table for us. Megan said hello and asked us to follow her, and she immediately cleaned the table for us, and asked if we wanted drinks to start. We received menus, and she apologised that they were very busy, and it might be a wait. We assured her we weren’t in a hurry. Our coffees came quickly, Megan arrived to take our food order, and I let her know my preference and told her about my food allergies. In my experience, waitresses generally go to the kitchen to check on ingredients, but Megan was able to tell me the ingredients in the dressing that I was curious about. Our food arrived, in a surprisingly timely manner, given that we had been advised that they were very busy. Presentation was good, and the flavours were outstanding. Whoever has designed the menu, understands which ingredients work together, in both taste, feel, and texture. I highly recommend this restaurant for their service and food. PS. Went for brunch with friends today 29 /10 /2021. WOW just WOW perfectly cooked eggs , mushrooms absolutely beautiful soft and light sooo tasty. Hats off to the chef everything on our plates was delightful. Very big servings at reasonable prices. Our waitress Alecia was absolutely lovely to us didn't hang over us waiting gave us space to think but was there the minute we were ready to order. Considering she was new she showed common sense and gave us privacy was very neat and clean in her appearance. Didn't wait long at all for our meals to be prepared considering it was quite busy. Presentation was excellent too. Dirty tables were cleared quickly after customers leaving and cleaned as well as they sanitise before they seat you. COVID SAFE A1. I really hate not being able to rate this place higher. The food was great, the initial service spot on. However, it fell over after that. We were a big group (12) they were accommodating to our needs, Sat us outside and let us join tables together. I had the big breakfast, and it looked awesome reasonably priced. Coffee was good too. However, im allergic to mushrooms 🍄 so I asked for the big breakfast, no mushrooms, and she said that would be fine. Even read back everyone's order to double check. Yep, " big brekky, no mushrooms" cool 😎 Fairly promptly, out come the meals. Mine has mushrooms. I explained. She rolled her eyes, and off she went, 3 mins later, she's back, no fresh plate, mushrooms scraped off, well nearly,as there was still 1 under the bacon. No apologies, just a half arsed effort.
