Easy the least clean park in bathurst, also when I was walking around to the duck pound one of the ducks attacked my doughnut and ripped it out of my hand. Then I also saw they had a wishing fountain, so I through 50 cents in and wished for a new car, but I didn't get one, so then I thought maybe I need to through more in so I through 100 dollars in and my wish didn't come true and I lost my money. Then strait after that a dog cam and bit me on the leg and pooed on my car, so now I have to pay 20 dollars to keep the car clean and I also lost 100 dollars. so I have 120 dollars down the drain. I would give them no stars if I could but it won't let me. So the park is crap and don't come. Ps I made this all up so don';t...

Stunning park, party’s morning teas beautifully designed rotunda, gorgeous fountain which listening to it is so relaxing you can let your mind take you back through time to far away places. Begonia House is a must if you love flowering plants, you can take a meandering walk through at opening times to the public 11am-3pm. Or standby the duck pond and hope to spot some mother ducks with there newly hatched baby ducklings. Or on occasion spot a possum in the trees as the sun is slowly going down. Or if not just sit on a bench and watch everyone else pass by to get that much needed relaxation taking a load off your feet in the summer months under the coolness of the many advanced...

Machattie Park is a delight of trees, flowers, bird life, bees, water fountains, a pond with koi. While it definitely got that 1890s vibe vis-a-vis design, content and experience - that's its strength. And more power to Bathurst for keeping it as vintage as possible - while of course each generation has added to it via addition of trees in the 1940s and modern plumbing I'm sure! Some trees have plaques which is great, I wish all of them did, kinda like a tree zoo. I am not a local so I don't come here that often (I'm here for the 1000 most Octobers) but when here I do like walking through it even if its just getting from one part of town to the other.

What a beautiful park in the heart of Bathurst! The pond has HEAPS of ducks and as we went for an early evening stroll through the park we spotted a huge number of bats hanging in the giant pine trees above! Those giant pines are so impressive, and are almost 130 years old! There is a beautiful large fountain and historic rotunda. The grass is well kept, lush and green with plenty of open space for a picnic or a stroll. Public Toilet block on site as well.

Beautiful Park in Bathurst and a credit to Council and the community. Filled with meandering paths, old established trees, heritage rotunda, duck pond and planted flower beds. The Boronia house is well worth a visit for nature lovers and free entry. The Park surrounds the heritage court house and trees are home to an array of wildlife with possums to be seen day and night. There are public toilets and plenty of parking. Highly recommended ❤️
