Smile Elephant Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

Would prefer to not give a star at all. Made a reservation for 12. Had a table of 9 ready for us when we walked in. Took 10 minutes to be acknowledged, once I called a waitress over to get the additional seats. Once we were all able to sit down, it was half an hour before we ordered after trying to gain attention for some time. We had 3 young children with us and waited an hour and a half for our meals. We had entrees and kids meals to come out first, but as we had tickets to an 8:00 pm event, at 7:30 I had said we needed to leave and asked where our food was. The wait time was not communicated to us, we weren't asked for drinks while waiting for our food and when it was questioned the other waitress has said the other waitress put the main meals docket in front of the entree docket. But we hadn't received any food at all. Food came out spontaneously. My husband had received his entree and main before my our children got anything and when I was informing of all the things that had gone wrong, I was completely shut down by the waitress. She didn't want to hear anything I had to say. All it would have taken to begin with was communication! Never again. First, we called up and the lady who answered was completely rude and inappropriate over the phone and then when we arrived she treats us horribly and said multiple nasty comments. For example “next time call if you’re gonna be late” for context we were five minutes late. Then we wait in the busy restaurant for an hour before we realise our entrees have been forgotten. I got to the counter to ask where our drinks and entrees are and it is obvious that they have completely forgotten about our order. We then proceed to wait another 45 minutes for our mains to come followed by our entrees (which were stone cold in the middle). To get my drinks I ordered I had to go to the Counter myself and ask her to take them out of the fridge. The food was not worth the two hour wait and horrible customer service I received. Was supposed to be delivered by Menulog, but the time kept getting later and later (not the fault of the restaurant) so my husband ended up collecting. When we got back to the hotel, despite all of our menu items being ticked and highlighted off the receipt, one of our meals was not in the bag. We called the restaurant and it hadn’t actually been cooked. They cooked it and delivered it (which was very nice of them).
