We popped into Grinstead Park on the weekend – me and four of my mates – and it turned out to be a pretty decent little outing. The park isn’t massive, but there’s enough room to spread out without feeling cramped. We grabbed a picnic table under the shade and just chilled for a few hours. There’s a small playground, but we didn’t bother with that. What I liked was that it wasn’t overly busy, and there were still families around, so the vibe was friendly. Some of the park features are a bit dated – especially the BBQs – but still functional. Toilets were clean enough, though not exactly flash. We brought a footy along and had plenty of space to kick it around. I wouldn’t call it a ‘destination park’, but if you’re local or nearby, it’s worth a visit. The council could probably throw a bit of money into updating it, but overall, we enjoyed...

More like a series of parks at this point and all backing onto walkways that connect right through to many other walkways in these city suburbs. Very cool new area shaped like roads and kids can ride scooters/bikes on the fake roads and even interact with a fake fuel pump, no fake ev charging stations yet but hey in 20 years time our kids will be able to look back on us in this covid-19 depressed economy and marvel at how much we used to fill our cars up for when they just gotta plug theirs in or replace a fuel cell pack for hopefully much less. Or they might marvel at how cheap things where lol!

But I digress, fitness Park, kids park, basketball courts and a generous amount of natural surrounds and vegetation foliage for the children to play with and explore really does make this spot a must...

The exercise park is amazing with the amount of facilities it provides ranging from parallel bars to rings with a roof covering reducing sunlight/rain, the playground is also large (suitable for children) not only that but it has a small bike park which I believe could work for any age. Adjacent to the park is a "street" futsal field which includes basketball hoops and side bars in case anyone brings nets for volleyball, badminton, and tennis. There is a food van that comes often so water and food is easily accessible in the car park. There are also toilets and bubblers making it even more convenient given why I gave it 5 stars....

This hidden gem has fantastic shade and easy access. On street parking is always available and there is a fence around most of the playground. This is a modern playground and it’s very cool. The slides are steeper than most and the fort is up to three tiers tall. There is no toilets and no water tap. The traffic is close by but the cars aren’t moving fast and the noise is not a concern. The shade structure is huge but there are also many large trees that provide shade. There is no bad time to be here to avoid sun- morning, midday, arvo. There are no tables and only a few seated benches. If you’re going to have a party bring tables and chairs!

An excellent opportunity to enjoy watching your young children enjoy themselves playing on the wooded playhouses & slide! There is a swing as well! A great place to enjoy a family picnic! Huge ovals for sports practice! The best playground I have discovered in Brisbane! I recommended it to my nephew & his little boy Eli when my sister & her husband were down from Darwin staying with Joel on The Sunshine Coast! He really appreciated my reccomendation! I also told a grandmother with her two grandsons on the train one day! A very popular place to enjoy a family experience!

I had only ever driven past, as we don't live in the area, but made the time today to take the kids along, and we were pleasantly surprised. The park is alot bigger than you realise, as you can't see the depth of the park from the road. The playground was pretty cool, with heaps of features and areas for kids to play and explore. My daughter really enjoyed the bike/scooter track. There is a really good onsite exercise equipment area and a basketball court.
