Pretty disappointed with our experience. Went in on Sunday morning. They had a few tables and some take aways but didn't seem crazy busy. We ordered and sat down. The decor is nice, I didn't mind the dog pics as it seems local and quaint. Service was polite but they seemed busy and distracted.

Our coffees came 5 minutes after we sat down (2 iced long blacks - $4.50 each). They came in water glasses - short tumblers. One was visibly weaker than the other. The coffee had no flavour, so one tasted just like water. I cannot believe we paid $9 for two glasses of water with barely a shot of coffee.

10 minutes passed, we saw a few plates leave the kitchen, all about 5 minutes apart. 20 minutes passed. Still watching other people's food leave the kitchen. We were getting a bit fidgety with the overpriced water. 30 minutes after we sat down and our food arrived. If it was busy I'd understand but there were 5 servers behind the counter and seemingly 1 in the kitchen. There were empty tables and most of the customers had a coffee and cake. Not sure what was making the staff so busy. We also saw some of the girls eating cake at the counter and then turning to serve someone with a mouthful. Pretty poor standards..

We ordered the haloumi stack on the menu to share between us. It was one of the more pricey items ($20) so we thought it would be big enough to share. Let's just say I wouldn't be happy if I received it as a sole breakfast. One piece of bread (not toast... It was not even warm) with quarter of an avocado sliced, two pieces of haloumi, one egg (which had runny whites but a overeasy yolk??? Prepoached and then microwaved?) A handful of spinach, a scattering of roasted vegetables (potentially fried?? Undercooked eggplant with overcooked zucchini - both oversalted and unappealing) and a smear of pesto with some form of dukkah sprinkled over everything. Generally, the taste was fine because all you could taste was pesto, which is always tasty. To share between us though? Pretty awful for $20.

Overall, we were pretty disappointed. Waited too long for food. Received plain, poorly cooked meal. Inconsistent, tiny coffees, all overpriced. For the vibe they were giving off, I feel the push for affordable food would do them well, if the kitchen was overwhelmed, maybe reducing the menu? Also, check with the coffee stores around you for sizing if you're unsure. We went across the road and received jumbo sized iced long black for the same price with twice the coffee. Doubt we will return. Even...

I visited this coffee shop and want to share my experience. I'm starting a YouTube channel soon where I'll showcase visits to various shops, but for now, here's my Google review.

The service at this coffee shop was impressively fast, even though about six tables were full. I was greeted warmly by the staff and waited less than 30 seconds for my order – a large flat white.

My coffee came with a piece of cake, a nice touch, although I'm on a keto diet and the sugar in the full-cream milk is already my limit. The coffee was good, as expected, and the service was both friendly and quick. The unique aspect of this place is its dog-friendly atmosphere, complete with dog pictures on the walls. It's an ideal spot for pet owners to bring their dogs.

Pros: The service is fast and friendly, and it's a great place for pet lovers. Cons: The price is a bit high at $6.50 for my coffee, though it did come with a bite-sized cake. While it's still value for money, I'd prefer a lower price without the cake. Additionally, the table where I sat was sticky on the side, possibly due to a quick clean-up during busy times. I asked the staff to clean it, which they did immediately, but they missed cleaning the sides.

Overall, despite not being a pet person and finding the sticky table issue, I still rate this coffee shop 4 out of 5. It's a thumbs-up for the setup and service.

The picture I added here is after the table was cleaned. My advice for future better rating from myself would be,

When customers order, it would be helpful if your staff could ask whether they're dining in or taking away. If a customer plans to dine in, a staff member could then offer to immediately clean their chosen table. This approach ensures that every customer enjoys their coffee or meal at a clean and comfortable spot, improving their overall visit to your shop.

I will visit again 4 out of 5 from...

2024 - Have to update my review as it seems the cafe has had a change of hand. I guess some good things have to come to an end. Thats not to say the new ownership is bad, but things are not as good as what they were. Small things like attention to detail, the way food is presented sometimes seems with a little less care, even how the coffee is made has changed and become less consistent. We miss the old girls at the till and serving, wishing them the best. The cafes charm is changing to something different, and thats fine. Its not a place we will likely frequent anymore, but it was a favourite spot for a few years.

2022 review - Currently sitting having a Mocha. Always loved this place and its coffee and food since we stubbled upon it. Even now, after a few months, having not been back because we moved away, the quality is still the same! Brisbean, if you ever, ever, decide to open another shop, please. Open one near toowong/ bardon/ Paddington! Thanks for the great experience...

SMALL DOG FRIENDLY CAFE I thought I'd try this Cafe, since I have started work in the area. SERVICE Average and unremarkable. FOOD Toastie & coffee special $12.00 Kitchen only open Friday to Sunday. Food in a smudged glass cabinet only. My toasted sandwich was the thinnest I have ever experienced. Unimpressed. DOG FRIENDLY Doggy cookies, coffee, ice-cream DOG friendly with photos plastered on all the walls. COFFEE No bitter after-taste but not great either. ATMOSHERE Inside & outside seating. Small Cafe next to the railway. Mothers & dog owners with prams zip in for their morning coffee and zip out. Most customers grab their coffee and leave. I tried the place once, and I won't be back.
