What a hidden gem of a museum! I agree with another reviewer - the thing that made it stand out was the passion of Anthony - our volunteer guide. I cannot speak highly enough of his knowledge, his manner of speaking with the kids, and his very apparent enthusiasm of the subject matter. The museum had all sorts of odds and ends and I ended up learning more and enjoying more than I’d expected. Entry is free, but with donations requested - and it is worth every dollar you’d chip in. It’s a surprisingly large museum - 4 rooms, but all with a large amount to see and learn. It’s quite hands on, which surprised me, but it meant that while my brother and I were nerding out over the history side of things, my nieces could learn by interacting with the displays. It was actually a lot of fun! Will absolutely come back.

Originally had gone to take a look around but didn't realise there was a team of volunteers there to help guide us around and answer all our questions. It was a very valuable experience and it was great to see how technology progressed over the years. I would highly recommend visiting.

Really enjoyed this place, staff where great and gave awesome tour, love seeing all the old phones, the guides knew what they where talking about as they had actually worked with the majority of the old equipment. Gold coin dontaion to get in. Well worth it.

Last Wednesday 30/10/19 the Probus Club of Coorparoo went for a tour of the Telstra Museum, believe me, this is well worth the 2 hour tour. We started off with a 40 minute video lecture, which at times was quite funny, looking back and going through the ages of Telecommunication. This is a working Museum and there are telephones from 1878, Morse Code Demonstrations, Switchboards ( working units) Teleprinters and Telex machines. Don had organised our tour, and all the other men who are volunteers do a wonderful job and they enjoy their hobby which makes it so interesting. Thank you for an interesting afternoon, our Members really...

I would highly recommend visiting this museum. We originally had gone to take a look around, but there was a team of senior volunteers there to help guide us around and answer all our questions.

Their passion and knowledge made such a difference and it was great to see how comms technology has progressed over the years, explained by those who were part of the Telstra team not so long ago.

You can have a good look in 20-30min, although the FREE guided tour is absolutely worthwhile to understand what you are looking at. We spent roughly 1.5h.

And please, don't forget...
