The Burnie Regional Museum’s collections represent the history of Burnie and the surrounding North West region. From the time the first Europeans ventured out from Port Sorell in the mid-1820s to explore the wilderness of the North West, up to the present day.
The Burnie Regional Museum’s main attraction is the Federation Street, where visitors can glimpse what life was like in 1900 when Burnie was a bustling town of 1500 people at the height of its first economic boom.
