We parked at wategos on Marine parade.. Was $5 an hour with max of 4 hours but if you do 4hours only $15. Walked from there along Beach walkway and continued on to the Cape Byron Walking track up to the light house. We walked from here up and looked over the other side (you can do a loop) but we came back the same way so we could do little wategos track out to cape byron lookout on the way back. Once we got back went for swim at wategos and chilled til our parking time run out.. If this was helpful give me a thumbs up 👍

Amazing views, medium walk but even our youngest made the walk. Fully recommend parking at the bottom near Clarkes Beach head left and around Palm Beach into Wategos Beach then up the headland to amazing panoramic views East to West before heading to the lighthouse. Walk back through the conservation area for another unique view, shade and steps back down to the car park again.

This was an amazing walk, there were tons of stairs and was quite the workout. The views along the ocean were breathtaking. The inland walk was not as interesting and got to be quite warm as there was no breeze to be found. The inland walk also turned into sand about half way thru, we were not wearing the proper shoes for walking in the sand, so we didn’t enjoy this part.

We parked at the bottom end of this track and went uphill to the Most Easterly Point Lookout, from there we saw whales and dolphins. We then continued up to the lighthouse for a view of Byron Bay and more ocean views. After a short visit to the gift shop, we headed back down as our 1 hour parking expired.

Of course is beautiful but now you've got to pay $8 for parking there which I find a bit expensive as you will be probably spending like an hour over there tops. The option is to park a few meters before the peak (in a ridiculously small parking, so good luck!) or walk your way to the light house.

Great walk at sunset or sunrise. Not too many people at sunset on a friday. I would recommend going through the Forrest on the way to the lighthouse and then via the beaches on the way back as it gets very dark at night. Lovely walk, approx 2 hours with lots of photo stops.
