At the top of the hill are breathtaking 360d views of your surroundings. The walk along the coast was invigorating and fascinating with a wide variety of interesting flora and fauna along the way. Quite a steep climb in some places but great exercise. Loved the rugged beauty of the landscape and the calming views of the ocean. There is a cafe where you can take time to drink your coffee while soaking in on the glorious views. Can get really busy and crowded though. There is a free 30 minutes guided tour at the lighthouse. It was fantastic and informative. At the top of the lighthouse, the views are just stunning and humbling. I did wish i can look at these beautiful sights forever. There is also a telescope for a closer look of the whales and dolphins which were swimming close by. Big crowd when we visited and it took forever to find parking so probably best to walk up there if you're fit. Just a few k from the town centre. 😊

The most amazing views! This is the most easterly point in Australia. Not a huge amount of parking though at the top so go early or plan for the 45 minute walk to the lookout point. We went at lunch time & had about a 15 minute walk to the lighthouse. Well worth it of course, with views out to the ocean, of the bay & in land too. We saw dolphins & Orcas aswell, swimming just off the shore, so worth going for that alone. The area is surrounded by stunning beaches & Byron Bay itself is a busy but lovely town. We stopped for a sandwich from the cafe at the lookout & lighthouse which was nice but busy. There are toilets there also & you can arrange for a tour of the lighthouse but unfortunately we didn't have time. Possibly one of the greatest views anywhere though.

We left around 3pm from Brisbane and reached there by 5:30ish and had found a decent parking spot just 300mts away from the light house. It is the most easterly point of Australia where sunrises. We were in luck as we not only saw a beautiful play of light during the sunrises but also had the pleasure to see some dolphins crossing by playfully. The most wonderful moment was when we sat down at the Wategos point, a whale suddenly sprang out of the water turned in the air and landed onto the surface of the sea sinking in.🥰💕 Worth it.👌

One of the most coveted place in Australia, the Cape Byron state conservation is a must for people to experience and enjoy. The scenery is breathtaking and if you are luck you may find dolphins jumping in the sea. There are a cafe near the light tower and is open until 5pm. Unfortunately, parking spaces are hard to spot especially in peak season . Parking requires a payment of $8 per hour which is probably enough time for you to see the views. Overall, dont miss this spot as this is the very east of the Australian coastal shores.

An interesting place to visit, a little bit of history, a little bit of walking and a great view. Take the tour to the top of the lighthouse for a fantastic view or walk the trails to the beach and enjoy the sun. A great escape from byron bay township and a short drive, be aware the parking at the top will cost you $8. This avoids the walk up the hill from the bottom carpark. Spaces for parking are limited. All in all a great way to support the conservation of a historic site, if you are in the area, take the time to visit.

Spectacular place. Must visit and do the little trekking from town via the hill. It is inside the forest and get some of the best views of the coast and then arrive to the beautiful hill with the lighthoise. It is interesting to alway wait and do the tour inside. A series of voluntees explain the history of the lighthouse through the life of its lighthouse keepers and their families. Also, on a clear day, you can see dolphins from the top of the lighthouse once you go inside and up to the top.
