Boundless Playground Kings Park, Wendouree Dr, Parkes ACT 2600 on Lake Burley Griffin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✅Fully Fenced playground (multiple gate entries) ✅Toilets inside fence ✅Shade Sail ✅Tree Shade ✅Car park ✅Bins ✅Picnic Area inside fence ✅larger picnic area ✅bbq outside fence

Designed for all children and abilities. Fully fenced with internal and external seating areas. Nice seating deck and bbqs around outside area.

Expanded carpark with over 10+ disabled parking spots , 2 extra long spots for large utes or cars with trailers. Roundabout at the end of route for pickup/drop offs.

• fully fenced • Multiple footpaths with footpath going round the whole playground. • multiple seating spots scattered

Aero glider (wheelchair accessible) is back up and functional!

Due to recent windy weather 1 of the shade sails has broken, was removed and the area sectioned off until the replacement sail arrives and is fitted back on. This has blocked out the larger grass area as well for picnics and games.

Overall the playground is still fun and inviting , will require more maintenance in the new future as the wooden play structure is showing signs of wear and tear which is expected due to high volume of visitors.

• water play (turned off in winter) • large accessible play structure • musical sensory garden • sandpit area • swing set area • large slide on own hill slope • garden adventures + obstacles • grass picnic areas • water play wheel...

Great place for younger children.

When we visited with our nearly-3-yr-old we pleasently noticed children of similar age group as well.

My son could play with all equipment/apparatus there, ranging from a large play structure with slides, a larger slide suitable for adults to slide with children, different swings, a seesaw ship, water features, mirrors, sand pit, musical apparatus - equipment had a nice theme to it and parents were generally enjoying the time with children creating a fun and safe environment.

Some areas had good coverage/shade, however the larger play equipment didnt have much shade.

The large play space was fenced off/enclosed for additional safety for children, there are also bubbler/water fountain and public...

No shade, poorly maintained with part of the synthetic turf having holes in it, water feature doesn't work or has no obvious method of activating, very poor for disabled access as it is at the top of a very steep hill off a path with no access, and the park itself has a sign on it stating that the ramps are at an angle much higher than the industry standard for disabled access. Very little parking, all of which is paid or for a short time period and a good 15 minute walk, and no shade anywhere or places to sit. Surrounding area is not maintained either, with long grass a hot spot for snakes.

Never ever will I go there. Worst experience I have ever had for a family outing...

Incredible children’s playground located just near Lake Burley Griffin! The park itself is well presented with great facilities including a public toilet with baby change facilities. The playground facilities have been setup to be disability friendly with many of the playground items accessible from wheel chairs. There is a large sandpit with toy digging equipment, swims and a large climbing play set. There is plenty of chairs with shade covers and BBQ facilities nearby if you want to make a day of it. The park is surrounded by a fence system which makes it safe for your children running a little crazy as well! A consideration is parking which can fill up pretty quickly.

Boundless is a great accessible playground, with wide access throughout, and ramped as per Australian Standards. Some of the timber is getting a pinch old, so worth being attentive if using mobility canes/sticks/crutches. Outside of the tube slides, the rest of the rig is accessible. There is a more auditory breakout at the top of the park, and a swing section at the bottom of the park. The swings have a cradle swing, and what looks to be a wheelchair swing possibly under construction, but at the point of visit there isn't a wheelchair swing. Note: whilst spread out, worth considering auditory sensitivities may be impacted by upper section (xylophone and steel bells).
