Burleigh Pizza — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We dined here a week or so ago and were very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. We noticed that they did a good deal early in the week so took that away with the view of getting takeaway again sometime as we are locals. Ordered a family pizza delivered tonight and was led to believe it came with a large Margarita pizza for free. When the delivery driver arrived he gave us the family pizza and a garlic bread, and told us simply the deal had changed. As anyone can imagine we were pretty annoyed about this as we had 4 children awaiting their Margarita pizza for dinner, not to mention the pizza we received was pretty cold and average! I called to clarify the issue and again the lady that answered reiterated that this was the deal, until, obviously I told her about the garlic bread. To the establishments credit the manager did then rectify the situation by sending back the driver with the Margarita pizza. I guess 1 from 2 isn't so bad, probably not good enough for repeat business...

We'll start with why we ended up here. I don't want to be negative, but the menu at Justin Lane put us off to the point where we looked around, saw that slice was across the road and went for a walk.

We are so glad that we did.

The service was polite, and I even asked one of the guys (who was potentially the manager) if we could have a touch more sauce on the BBQ chicken, to which he replied, "I'll look after you, no worries". I didn't want it drowning, either, so it was a risky request.

It turned out to be perfect, and was one of the best BBQ chicken pizzas we've had as a family.

We also had the meat lovers, which was also very good. The meat was fresh and flavoursome in its own right, which was more obvious with the tomato base sauce. However, next time, I'll be requesting the same amount of BBQ sauce for that as well, given how good it was on the chicken.

We'll be adding Slice to our list of "must have" holiday eateries for...

Not off to a good start to the weekend. Pizze delivered a mashed mess. Topping under the base and stuck to cardboard packaging all mashed topping. Cost $44. They don't answer the phone, a message says go Online. Sent message text and pic to the driver, stupid me went downstairs to meet driver. Any wonder she handed it over sheepishly then took off. Worst experience ever for us in Burleigh. Hopefully they have the integrity to sort this. UPDATE, VICKI FROM SLICE PIZZA HAS CONTACTED ME AND OFFERED A REPLACEMENT THIS EVENING. DAMN GOOD BUSINESS CREDIBILITY MATCHED WITH A CREDIBLE, FREINDLY OWNER. I RECOMMEND SLICE FOR ALL YOUR PIZZA NEEDS IN BURLEIGH AND SURROUNDS. NOT TOO MANY SMALL BUSINESSES OFFER TO...
