Do the highwaymen you usually post outside putting up their lil wall usually make up different prices from each other and turn down people with prosthetic legs at the door for asking why the prices aren't the same as the other guards? Or was that just for today, because when I asked the person I was told was "in charge" he just told me I had to leave and stared me down pretending to be busy with someone else, who was literally there with me and asking the same questions as to why the restaurant inside which we had booked long in advance was unable to let us get to the restaurant without paying close to $100.00 or whatever their different prices were as one advised entry was $35.00 but the man in charge who told me to leave adviced me $38.00 plus the $45 for parking which should only apply to people actually participating in the event and when I asked why it was a different price he told me the conversation was "over" and that I needed to leave, i was driven down for birthday lunch and was treated hostilely by almost every person in high vis there that we tried to ask about what exactly was even happening and even upon calling the restaurant owner and telling the guard that they were literally asking the gate people to let us through for our table we were once again told to leave and were watched as we left. Maybe don't paywall restaurants behind your wall that blocks literally everything behind it unless people wanna cough up a hefty sum with zero interest in the boats considering we literally just went down the road to a different place and saw better boats and wait for this.. for free! Such a shame we didn't stay harassed by security and have to walk through their little temporary wall, maybe make little corridors for people to access restaurants instead of making up prices and becoming hostile telling people with metal legs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLooked forward to attending our first boat show- paid $42.00 for on-site parking and on arrival was directed to a remote car park requiring bus shuttle to get there. Show itself was well laid out and very busy on a Friday. Upon leaving, waited 30 minutes for the shuttle bus which by this time was packed with many having to still wait. Meanwhile multiple buses came and went taking patrons to free parking at Dreamworld - whoever is responsible for parking control and bus scheduling should be sacked - the experience badly affected by poor arrival and...

Loved lunch at Georges, loved the afternoon at the Intercontinental Lagoon but disappointed with the attitude of the show organisers if this is what the show...
