Pier B Wholefood Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Usually love this place. After waiting over 20 mins I checked on our 2 coffees. Somehow the docket didn’t get loaded. Thinking that our breakfast would be any minute I cancelled the coffee for a refund. Next thing it’s 40 minutes and still no breakfast. I’m writing this as we still wait. This place needs some organisation like it used to be. Far from it now , so obviously it’ll be some time before a return visit. Sad, but true !!!

** I have since spoken with the Lovely owner, Clare who has shared a lot of the challenges they face at present. I understand a lot better now and sympathise with her, so I do not wish to add any further pressure nor intend to damage her great business in anyway. I will return to support this well located business in Sanctuary Cove and further enjoy their wonderful, healthy food.

Horrible experience. After moving new to the area and bringing family in for breakfast this morning it was not only terrible service, the staff were rude, unhygienic not using gloves preparing food, not washing hands and just using unclean utensils, leaving plates and cups on tables for over 30mins with flies and then got our order wrong and took 45 mins to make. Coffee was average. But to make it worse the staff were so rude when approached kindly about it they gave us (the customers) attitude. I don’t understand it wasn’t even that busy (I counted 10 people) and there were 4 staff. As new locals I can honestly say I will never go to this cafe again. I visited this café last week and I was delighted with the service I received from Luke. I visited the café during it's peak lunch-time trade, the café was busy with new customers arriving along with seated customers waiting for their meals.

Luke did a fantastic job, he kept calm and collected under such pressure while still engaging with all customers to ensure that their visit was going to be a good one regardless of how busy the café was. As someone who has previously managed in hospitality the kind of service I received and witnessed all other customers receive was outstanding. Well done Luke, you are a huge asset to this café. I will definitely be back and recommending you and Pier B to all my friends and family, I wish I could give you more...
