I have been to Top Golf a number of times since it opened and have always had a blast. Good fun vibe, great service, and clear timeframes. An hour wait anywhere else would've been a hell no.

While we waited on a Saturday night, we took the chance to sit down and peruse the menu. The DJ on the rooftop Bar as always was bangin. So, if you're planning on having a conversation with your husband, that would not be the place for it. Didn't help that there were multiple screens of live sport playing. I did contemplate leaving as I'm sure he wouldn't have even noticed.

When my salad arrived, I was struggling not to try and devour everyone else's burgers with my eyes. "It'll be worth it," I tell myself picturing the shorts and singlets I'll still wear while swimming this summer. But as I ate my overpriced lettuce, I was horribly disappointed. Well, it was lettuce with toppings. I asked my husband to add strip's of bacon when he ordered. It needed protein. It came crumbled, dont crumble the bacon as it's to help me pretend I'm biting into a burger. Let's just say the warm pumpkin salad, neither left my tastebuds or my stomach satisfied. That may be because I stopped halfway and couldn't eat anymore. The whole block of Feta was just too much. The size of the chips were made for Frodos half first breakfast, so don't think they'll be a good filler. I also don't get how my husband can order a toastie with a bit of brisket without regretting the twenty something dollars purchase for buttered bread with a small portion of meat. I can make that at home for waaaay cheaper and feed the whole family. Damn you mum.... my cheap ways are your fault! I'm not a huge fan of most foods American, so the menu overall was a bit of a thumbs down. Would recommend eating elsewhere. I have tried multiple items on the menu, including private function options - Mexican tacos and children's burgers, all of which have left me underwhelmed and asking for more sour cream and toppings; they bring out the bare minimum for the help yourself bar. Cookies..... hard pass.

Alright, back to why we went.... the golf. Although I stink at Golf and take pride in reaching even the closest targets, I happily rest in the middle of the 6-person competition (thank you point system). It's a nice spot in the pecking order. That way, I don't get chosen last for the next team sport.

The bottomless fizz came in handy for our camel children who feel the need to consume and store a months worth of sugar all at once. I was happy the drive home was not interrupted by.....'I need to go to the toilet'.

Word of warning to those who don't want children around a drinking culture, there have been instances where our family has been placed next to groups enjoying themselves rowdily. We didn't mind the last time as our children are older now, and we chose peak times on a Saturday night to go. However, when booking a children's party and you've been told you're in a private area for the 12 children, not to be placed in a private area but with extremely rambunctious adults who were dropping glasses at 12 noon it...

I visited Topgolf on Monday afternoon (24/03) and was warmly greeted by a lovely staff member at the front desk. She informed us that there was a short wait for a bay but assured us she would notify us as soon as one became available. True to her word, we were contacted quite quickly and directed to our bay.

However, upon arrival, we were met by our assigned host (whose name I won’t mention publicly). Unfortunately, she did not provide the standard safety briefing, despite knowing we had first-time patrons in our group. This was extremely disappointing, as safety is crucial—especially when working near the edge of the bays and swinging golf clubs. Additionally, she did not ask if we wanted any food or drinks and simply walked off without any engagement. It was clear she had no interest in being at work or interacting with customers, which was disheartening. At a venue like this, the host plays a huge role in shaping the overall experience, and sadly, she did not meet expectations.

Concerned about the lack of safety instructions and poor service, I approached the front counter and spoke to another staff member about our host’s negligence. Thankfully, we were then introduced to Rose Ann, who completely transformed our experience. She was outstanding—from the moment she greeted us, she made us feel welcomed. She immediately asked if we needed any drinks or food, regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well, and genuinely cared about our experience. Her exceptional customer service made a world of difference.

Rose Ann is a true asset to Topgolf and deserves recognition for her incredible professionalism and dedication. She single-handedly turned our night around, and I cannot thank her enough!

To top it all off, the food was fantastic, making for an overall enjoyable visit. Huge thanks to Rose Ann for going above and beyond—she truly made our night, and I hope she gets the recognition...
