We've had brunch prior and enjoyed it so when we received a flyer advertising $5 tacos, $5 Coronas and $10 Margaritas we thought that sounded amazing. We booked a table for 8pm the day before as we didn't want to miss out. When we arrived the restaurant was quite full with only a few tables free however we were advised our table wasn't ready but they had nowhere for us to wait till they cleaned one so we had to stand awkwardly at the end of the bar.
After waiting 10mins which is no big deal we were advised we could sit in the corner at the window which was odd given there were a few other tables free albeit covered in dirty plates and glassware which would have been nice. We were then advised they'd sold out of tacos which to be honest was the only reason we booked in the first place.
If your going to advertise Friday tacos then you really need to make sure you have tacos to sell. Coming from 19yrs in the hospitality industry and having worked in a number of high end restaurants and hotels I felt there was a lack of staff and the staff that were on seemed to lack the ability to manage such an occasion. If we had been walk ins fair enough but when you book in advance you have a certain level of expectation, sadly this expectation fell well short and we left. Lucky for us a nearby restaurant was able to fit us in...
Read moreSaturday morning, I feel like a B & E roll. Wander down to the local Cafe to order. Bit busy, guitar playing a little loud for my liking but hey, I hear the foods good? 5 mins it took me to get to the counter to order. Between navigating staff and patrons I finally reach the counter. 7-8 mins later i can see a box under the heat lamp. No, that couldn't be mine, its the other half of a pending order surely. Well, 12 mins further and someone FINALLY glances at this ignored order sitting on their counter and POINTS TO ME. So it seems it's my fault I didn't hear the one call out of my name over the loud guitar and NO ONE bothered for 10 mins to call it again, even though they knew who it belonged to, staring at the box that could be his. Nah, I'll say something. "Well we are NOT remaking it, it's been under the heat lamp" mind you, no acknowledgement whatsoever of their blunder, just that they wouldn't fix. Fine, here's my loyalty card. Get home and my fried egg is dripping with yolk...they got my order wrong! Between the slop the bread had turned into over those 15 mins of waiting + the fact it was a takeaway, inedible. My last visit, and I couldn't even consume what I'd got. Cheers, but I'll go somewhere else. I recommend you do to, you're better than ^^^^^...
Read moreWe would have loved to enjoy a relaxing brunch on a Saturday morning, at a new found breakfast spot. We entered the restaurant and stopped at the âplease wait to be seated signâ after waiting a few moments, a server walked up and just stood there looking at us. My partner then had to say âcould we have a table outside pleaseâ to which the server replied âI need to see your vaccinations.â We showed our check in and vaccination ticks. The server rudely then said âTap itâ to myself, confused with her rudeness and the fact that the green tick was already displayed I said âI already have, itâs displayed there.â (Which is all we have had to do for every other service on the Central Coast, unsure what she actually wanted from me as she never explained herself) The server walked away without saying anything and left us standing there for around 5 minutes while she and other servers just stared at us. We were âwaiting to be seated,â standing around for incompetent and rude staff to take us to a table and provide us with a menu. Although we can not comment on the food as we left as no one could be bothered to serve us, we probably never will due to the rude and disrespectful staff who couldnât even be bothered with a âhelloâ, âhow are youâ, or a...
