Amazing new pirate ship themed playground. Huge pirate ships with stairs or rope climb up. 2 slides, steering wheels, canon balls, binoculars, fireman poles. There’s a baby swing, kids swing, round web swing. There’s a sand play station, see-saw with one side for bigger kids and one for smaller kids on the other side. There’s rockers, a spinning station, soft fall and loads of soft sand to play in. BBQs, plenty of covered seating, filtered water tap, rubbish and recycling bins, ocean views. We walk up being only 7 minutes away, but there are always plenty of car spots available even on sunny, warm weekends. 4 stars because I wish there were toilets close by. But there’s some only about a 3-4 minute walk away; which isn’t too bad.

As a marriage celebrant I've conducted weddings here and have found it quieter than other parks. One of the things that has changed is that the Visitor Information Centre which stands close to the road, is now permanently closed. It used to provide information for both tourists and locals. You could find out what activities take place on the peninsula, what tours are available, and bus timetables. Not quite sure why it closed down as it so conveniently located. Popular activities which draw a lot of onlookers include sky diving and kite flying on weekends. Most popular of all, though, is the feeding of pelicans which takes place every day at 10 o'clock in the morning.

This park is incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for all kinds of activities. Whether you’re biking, jogging, or just playing ball with friends, there’s space for everyone to enjoy. There are also well-maintained barbecue areas, making it a perfect spot for family gatherings or picnics. Plus, clean restrooms are conveniently available on-site, which is always a bonus! Parking is abundant, and even on weekends, it’s usually easy to find a spot without much hassle. This park is ideal for a relaxed day outdoors, with enough space to unwind, play, and make the most of Brisbane’s beautiful weather.

Beautifully laid out Parkland, Plenty of room for kids to play, clean & accessible BBQ areas, my Grandson loved the shoreline Rockwalls. He loved climbing thru them chasing little Crabs. Also as the afternoon was getting on, I took my Grandson for a swim. It was low tide, which my Grandson loved jumping between puddles left from the tide being out, to reach where the waterline was now. Out in the shallows he got his swim & had such a great time, with the idea of being out so far from the shore & swimming in water no deeper than his waist. His imagination was having a field day, as he told me he was a Crab, then an Octopus & swim fast like a shark. We had a great, relaxing BBQ, Rock Explore & swim. Then to complete our awesome day a stroll along the pathway watching the beautiful sunset. My Grandson with all his energy his 6yr old bady had, now he is ready for a clean up & bed. We have a 40 minute to an hour drive home, I reckon he'll be asleep in his car seat before we get home. But was a great day in a great & beautiful Parkland, yep we will be enjoying more of these days or arvo's more often at this Park & it's connecting Parks & Beaches around the Redcliffe Peninsula. Beautiful Places to visit for the whole Family. To spend a full day of Relaxing, Fresh Air, Calming Atmosphere in Nature, plenty of Space for little Energy bound bodies & swimming or fishing from a Jetty...

Pelican park is a great place to visit on a sunny winter day or a moderate summer day. As well as large, grassy areas, there are a few small beaches here, as well as a boat ramp and takeaways across the road. A great path for walking and cycling, especially of an evening during sunset. On warm summer nights you may see bioluminescent plankton, though the street lighting does drown it out. The one main issue is that at certain times of the day and month, the tides and waves stir up the mangrove mud nearby and you get a bit if a stink. Sutton's' Beach is nearby as an alternative on such days, but it's usually more crowded. You can occasionally get smacks of jellyfish washed in under certain conditions to. The sting is irritating and...
