We went on the easy, Mount Wellington, descent, and rainforest ride. The tour was extremely well organized. Phil and Rich lead the tour. There was always someone in front and the van followed behind. There was strict emphasis on safety anyone who was uncomfortable with part of the tour Could easily get in the van and ride that section. Helmets, clothes, and safety vests were provided. It can get cold up on the mountain even in the summer and they had extra jackets if anyone needed them.

you ride to the top of Mount Wellington in the van, with all of the bikes on the trailer. Each person is assigned to a bike, which I assumed matches their size. You ride down the road for the first 6 1/2 kilometers making several preassigned stops as a group. no one is left behind and you can go at your own pace. At the third stop you rest and get back on the van to go to the other side of the mountain and ride down a gently sloping trail.

There is one slope that is a challenging walk up for about 150 m. Aside from that there is no substantial portion of peddling and you will spend a lot of the time coasting with your hands on the brakes. My friend and I are both in our 70s and we loved it

The bicycles are well equipped, and in excellent condition.

Aside from the trip being an excellent adventure, you can be confident in the organization behind your trip. I highly...

Loved our experience with TMBA! As a mum with two teen boys, we were looking for an adventure that would challenge us and give us lasting memories - the Summit, Springs to Cascade trail did not disappoint!

From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding. The team were so friendly and accomodating. Rich was an awesome host, with great knowledge of the area, history and trails. We received riding tips and key safety points were highlighted ensuring we had the best possible ride.

The bikes were top notch - lightweight, comfortable and incredibly well maintained. They were fitted to us individually and we all agreed they made the ride smooth and enjoyable even on the more technical sections of the trail.

The trail was stunning - challenging enough to keep us entertained but also accessible and easy to navigate for me to enjoy as a 48 year old single mum. Definitely download the Trailforks app as suggested by Rich just in case you find yourself having too much fun and wander off track. It’s easy to find your way back to the planned trail.

If you’re looking for an epic ride with a professional team that knows how to deliver a safe yet unforgettable experience, look no further. Highly...

Rich was an exemplary and perspicacious tour guide on our mountain bike ride in Hobart, Tasmania, exhibiting a paradigmatic approach to ensuring our safety and exhilaration throughout the ride.

From the outset, Rich demonstrated an encyclopedic knowledge of the trails, flora, and fauna, regaling us with fascinating anecdotes and elucidating the nuances of the terrain with remarkable perspicacity.

His meticulous attention to detail was truly fastidious, as he scrutinized every aspect of the ride, from the calibration of our bikes to the provision of top-notch equipment, thereby guaranteeing an optimal experience.

Rich's expertise in navigating the undulating terrain was matched only by his ability to facilitate a convivial atmosphere, fostering an environment of camaraderie and bonhomie among our group.

The panoramic views of Hobart and the surrounding mountains were nothing short of breathtaking, and Rich's erudite commentary added a layer of depth and sophistication to the experience.

We wholeheartedly recommend Rich for his exceptional leadership, indefatigable enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication to delivering an unforgettable mountain biking experience...

My 15yo son and I (48yo not very fit) did the "Easy Mountain Bike Ride on Mt. Wellington/kunanyi - Summit & Rainforest Adventure Ride" with Zoe. Neither of us have ever done mountain biking, were just urban scoot around the the shops cyclists. This was outstanding! She takes us to the summit then we bomb it down the road we just drove up while she tails us in the Ute with hazards flashing to protect us on the bikes from cars being held up by us. There was no need, we caught up to cars! So much fun and the bikes are excellent quality, rock solid at terminal velocity. At a midway point we pull up and she switches to a bike too and guides us into downhill trails but the best bit is that she lets us set our own pace because she's always at the rear guiding and helping but never leading or holding us back. This made it feel like we were genuinely exploring hidden gems of the forest ourselves. To sum it up in a few words, exhilarating without being scary/hard work difficult on excellent plushies with an excellent guide. It's hands down the best thing we've done in Tassie for the 2 week trip.
