Today my partner and I finished the Three Capes Adventure Walk with the Tasmanian Walking Company. This was a 3 day 2 night adventure walk that started at Cape Raoul and ended in Fortescue Bay Tasmania.

I cannot emphasize enough how truly wonderful the experience. Logistically, everything was handled professionally and was spot on. The communication regarding the trip was detailed, accurate which included a helpful gear list and description of the hike. This information was very useful. A few days prior to the trip, they sent out a reminder and which included transportation to the meeting place. Clint arrived on time and was very courteous.

Upon arriving at the company, we were given raincoats, packs and other supplies. We then met our guides for the trip—-Frankie and Rosy. These ladies were superb. Each had their own set of knowledge, expertise and they complemented each other remarkably. This wasn’t simply a hike, they provided information about the history of the original people, the area, flora and animals. They arranged the hikes with plenty of breaks so that it didn’t feel like we were on a mission to get to the end quickly. The agenda included a wonderful boat tour where Clint took the time to show us the penitentiary at Port Arthur, and educate us about the coastline and sea birds. It was fabulous. Thank you Clint! Another wonderful surprise was on the last day, we were asked to hike about 45 minutes by ourselves to provide the best opportunity to connect with nature. I loved this part because to me, it was the most scenic part of the forest trail. Simply marvelous girls. What we also enjoyed was the diversity of the hike. We experienced tremendous beauty. Coastlines, capes, beaches, forests to bays. It wasn’t an easy hike but not overly difficult either. We were tired at the end of each day.

The accommodations were truly superb. The first night was a tent lodge. It was comfortable, with plenty of hot showers. The second night was at Crescent lodge and equally well equipped. Both had comfortable beds with stunning views. At the tent lodge it was cold because there were no heaters in the tent but with the blankets, we were comfortable. They had hot water bottles for those who needed it. You could hear the elements (wind, ocean) at both locations so if these types of noise bothers your sleep, you might need to consider earplugs which they provide. We were simply to tired to notice.

The food was fabulous. We had plenty of wine available, with quality food and dessert. If I had one area that could be improved is that I felt there could be just a little more in quantity. Dinners were an adequate amount but if there was more offered, it would have been eaten. I felt this mostly at the Crescent lodge. Lunches were filling, and fresh. Plenty of snacks.

Finally, we found the people we meet were quite friendly as has been our experience while touring Australia. Almost the entire group was Australian and everyone was friendly and jovial. You all are the best!

We were very lucky to have experienced fabulous weather too. Can’t beat that.

We highly recommend this company, it was an experience we will it forget. Special thanks to Frankie and Rosy. They are darlings and made the...

Three Capes Adventure: An Unforgettable Journey with Tasmanian Walking Co. Where do I even begin? My recent Three Capes Adventurewalk with Tasmanian Walking Co. was nothing short of phenomenal. It was an experience that will forever be etched in my memory, and a huge part of that credit goes to our incredible guide, Mike. Mike deserves a standing ovation! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine care for our entire group were unparalleled. He instilled a sense of trust and empowerment in each of us, making sure we all felt capable of tackling the challenges of the trail. Mike doesn't over share, his sharing is timed perfectly, and he has such interesting stories and facts. He is masterful in his timing and how he rolls of the day.

The three-day hike itself was pure magic. The scenery of Tasman National Park is breathtaking beyond words. Each day unfolded with stunning vistas, wildlife encounters, and a feeling of complete immersion in nature. But Tasmanian Walking Co. took things a step further. The lodges we stayed in were world-class! They were the perfect blend of comfort and eco-friendliness, providing a luxurious respite after a day of exploration. And let's not forget the surprise of fresh oysters and champagne at the end of our first day's hike – an utterly delightful touch that epitomized the entire experience and brought the difference hiker participants together.

Day 2' Guide Ollie joined us. At only 19, you are is incredible guy.. we loved the way you are with the whole group. Fun, caring, comfortable and patient. You brought alot to out experience Ollie.

Night 2- We were great by our chef Jarrod. Oh what a darling. Such care he took for each of us to be feed and nourished. I watched him from the corner of my eye ( we all did) because he is a cutie and he really takes pride in what he does. Thankyou Jarrod. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure on the Three Capes Track, look no further than Tasmanian Walking Co. Their expertise, attention to detail, and genuine care for their guests will make your trip truly extraordinary. And if you're lucky enough to have Mike and Ollie as your guide, well, consider yourself in for an...

Just returned from the Signature Three Capes Walk where I was travelling with my adult son. Such an awe inspiring experience with the knowledgeable guidance of James and Joel who took the utmost care of us, sharing their fascinating stories of Turrakana Country as we travelled along, including a beautiful, personally written ode by James before a silent walk through the enchanting ancient forest of Mount Fortescue. The spectacular scenery of the Tasman Peninsula is so unique and a must see with its endemic species, wildlife, Dolorite cliffs and rugged coastlines. But the guides really brought the whole experience to another level with their passionate stories and vast knowledge. At nineteen, Joel was the youngest but quickly became our guru for any question we had! Absolute legends and so grateful to them both. Our lodge hosts were so welcoming and the food and wine plentiful and delicious from the region. The wallaby tangine is a must to try by Brayden at Cape Pillar. Fully recommend to take the option of a massage with Sara too. The best I’ve ever had! She is an expert and very empathetic. Super therapeutic after a day out on the Cape. Accommodation was really comfortable and facilities were brilliant for being so remote! Eco-friendly and thoughtfully designed. Highlights were the boat cruise and landing at Denmans Cove, wading in off the boat, the Blade and seeing afterwards our accomplishment, views out to Tasman Island, Fortescue Mountain Rainforest and completing the many steps of Cape Huay. Such an achievement to make and grateful to complete with my son. I cannot recommend this...

Last week I completed the 3 Capes Signature Walk accompanied by my 21 year-old daughter. It was an experience we will continue to review in our minds forever. The information supplied in advance was thorough and allowed for us to adequately pack and prepare for the hiking terrain. We were in the company of 12 other hikers who were strangers to us at the hike’s onset and friends by the conclusion. Our guides, Michael and Ollie, were well- prepared, kind, thoughtful, funny and incredibly knowledgable. I appreciate all the knowledge they imparted along the way. I will comment quickly to say the food and wine selections were outstanding and outpaced my expectations. The spa services provided by Sara at the Cape Pillar Lodge set a new high bar for total relaxation. Amazing! If you are on the fence about one of these walks, stop contemplating and book the trip now. I promise it will be unforgettable.
