Villino Coffee located in Criterion Street , This little street is like coffee central :) There is a bit going on and there are other coffee shops/ cafes in this street / laneway. The first thing that jumps out to me is …. The music 😃 How many countless times I’ve encountered loud music through a cheap sound system and the play list that is like …. really? Yep I’m a musician sometimes 😂 You won’t have that problem here, and the play list is eclectic, this way everyone is included :) The coffee is serious and these people aren’t fooling around . Exceptional coffee and exceptional service , gentle respectful staff they have their own unique personality and vibe here and it stands out 🙌 It’s not pretentious it’s professional and proper:) The muffin was incredible made on site🌈 It’s a different culture, it’s the real deal coffee culture 10/10🕺

Nice little place off the "busy" Liverpool st. The average rating was for the inconsistency of service and coffee. We went here two days in a row. Coffee on the first morning was spot on, second morning was a miss opportunity. The latte was way way too over extracted a milk coffee that has a bitter burnt taste is never good thing. Service on the first day also spot on and knowledgeable, i asked for extra bacon with my BLT, no problem, on the second day "we don't do extra bacon" and "we don't do bacon on the side". Ok it depends on who you get and what mood they are in on that day. Mehhh

I got date balls and a long black made from a selection of single-origin coffee beans. The coffee was fresh and delicious. Villino offers a wide variety of single-origin options at their retail section. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my coffee in the cozy and inviting atmosphere. I also purchased some Kenyan coffee to try at home with my V60. I highly recommend visiting this coffee shop!

I've never been to Villino. I own and operate a café in Brisbane called Kin and Co. Villino sent me a sample one day and since then we've been ordering 5kg of different filter coffees each time. Staggeringly delicious coffees like the Kenya Kangocho AA, the Panama Hartmann Black Winey and they even put together a special filter blend for us as a surprise.

Villino is that good I order in advance knowing it'll take longer to get here from Hobart. I do it because it's worth it. Because it's the best. I actually sent some to friends in Brazil (check out Takko Cafe SP) because I wanted to share something special with them.

Service and communication are fantastic considering the distance and they relatively small quantities we order. I could not be happier with this crew!

Update: we made it to Villino and it lived up to the above. I wish it was next door to us...

Villino Coffee is known for its dedication to high-quality brews, and their Dirty Chai lives up to that reputation. The chai spice blend is aromatic and well-balanced, offering a deep warmth with hints of cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. The espresso shot is expertly pulled, adding just the right amount of boldness without overpowering the chai. The milk is smoothly frothed, enhancing the drink’s overall creaminess.

☕ Why It Stands Out? ✔️ Rich, authentic chai spices ✔️ Smooth and well-extracted espresso ✔️ Perfectly frothed milk for a velvety finish

🏆 Verdict: A top-tier Dirty Chai experience! If you're in Hobart and love a well-crafted chai with a caffeine kick, Villino Coffee is a must-visit.

📍 Tried it? Share...
