I was excited when I walked past & seen a shop with takeaway pasta, I thought wow I will come here often, until I sat down outside & got told I couldn’t sit down to eat my takeaway pasta as it was for full paying & dining customers only. It wouldn’t have been as big of a problem if I turned around & seen another person dining in, but there wasn’t anyone there expect me, so 4 other tables available but me sitting in 1 was a problem. My boyfriend did have a pizza from another store, which is understandable but the fact I was told I couldn’t eat in the outdoor area because it was a takeaway is the problem. I ordered a takeaway as I was on a schedule & didn’t have time to dine in for a meal, I just wanted a 10 min feed before the drive home. Unfortunately by the time I finished my 40 minute drive home, it was cold. Unfortunately I am not skilled enough to drive and eat hot pasta at the same time. Even though my pasta was only $12, not as expensive as other diners yes but until someone comes and needs my table, I was still a paying customer I should have rights to sit down to eat. The lady wasn’t rude in any way, but this rule is ridiculous maybe if you weren’t as strict with dining in, you may have had those tables...
Read moreMy husband and I visited Cultura for the first time last night and we honestly cannot fault a thing. From the food to the atmosphere to the incredible customer service, everything was exceptional.
The food was amazing, authentic Italian, full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and had such a lovely, relaxed vibe.
The service, though, is what truly made the night special. Every staff member was friendly and genuinely happy to be there, which made such a difference. Dan, our waiter, was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. He checked in throughout the night, made us feel so looked after, and added such a personal touch to our experience.
A special thank you as well to Luca, who was fantastic, so warm and welcoming, and even remembered my husband’s name as we were leaving and shook his hand. The bartenders were also great, friendly, professional, and really added to the great energy of the place.
If you’re after delicious food, great drinks, a lovely atmosphere and truly top-tier service, Cultura is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the entire team for such a...
Read moreCultura Espresso Bar & Restaurant, Cultura meaning culture! unfortunately this restaurant has none. I felt like a simple pasta and was searching the internet for local Italian Restaurants in Hobart. I found Cultura and saw a dish that I love, a Lasagna so i drove there. I was welcomed into the dreary seating area after the Pizzaiolo, reminded the wait staff they were open. I ordered the Lasagna; it was really good, however, a very sneaky grab at extra dollars charging for a side of parmesan cheese with no warning. I was then offered dessert and again was confronted with cost cutting measures in their Tiramisu, finding it is extended with cream. I instead opted for the orange cake which although stone cold was tart, bitter, semi sweet and tasty. I understand that restaurants need to make a profit, I also understand how hard it is coming form the industry, but you should be upfront with costs and hidden charges including the no name unbranded water offered to guests upon arrival. to summarise, Cultura has good food, polite staff but no...
