We had real issues with the induction stove not working and found that because Management are never on-site, it was impossible to navigate a solution! Management are in fact based in Queensland and so were not able to offer Us any on-site assistance. The housekeeping lacked the know how in what to do regarding the induction cooktop in our room not working. Due to a roof leak in the room and the three occasions that We had put food n the frying pan that (Management had supplied us) I requested that We be given a refund on two of our four nights stay. Management are refuting that they're responsible and have actually suggested that We must of imported a (non) induction frying pan into the Motel24Wodonga room and by doing so we were the cause of the cooktop not working! I won't even allow that statement a response other than to say that whichever Motel24 staff member that typed that in an Email to Me 'must have delusional trates'! My children had to wait an extra 1.5 hours for their dinner on two of our nights stay at Motel24Wodonga (at no fault of My Wife or mine). The only response that We have been given by Motel24 Management is for them to accuse us of deliberately allowing Our daughter whom has Cerebral palsy and as a result is incontinent to wet the mattress. The room We were given at Motel24Wodonga is a (family room) and would quite obviously see a lot of children! I would have thought that as a precautionary measure, it would have been standard practice that Management would of provided a (plastic) mattress protector? In any event I find it insulting to My family that Motel24 Management could accuse us of using a non inductive pot or pan intentionally and importing the same into their motel rooms! My Wife was livid that Motel24 have lied and were able to ridicule Our disabled daughter for having a neurological disorder; (shame on You) for that Motel24Wodonga and Motel24 Management and We will not be paying the $100.00 fee for You not having the foresight to put plastic mattress protectors on beds occupied...
Read moreThe gentleman who assisted me over the phone (remotely located off site in Bundaberg) was helpful, friendly, vibrant and knew his stuff. Very highly recommend from this interaction alone as it made me more comfortable about going to a motel with no person at the desk. I might even head hunt this professional one day - he is an asset to the company. 10/10 service.
My room was clean and came with basic supplies and amenities that you generally would find in a budget style room. The hot plate For cooking and full-size fridge was unexpected but very much welcomed. The bathroom was very clean, which is my number one dealbreaker usually for a motel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Also, the bed was comfortable, The TV worked, The remote had batteries, there was a vending machine for emergency eating purposes, A pool and a laundry located on site if needed. I did not get to use the pool as it was raining and the laundry I did not require so I can’t speak for these features
The location I think was pretty good. I have never stopped overnight in Wodonga before but have driven through probably two dozen times. I would say this is great location as it is only about a kilometre off the highway, It is close to petrol stations, Places to buy food, There’s like a coffee van that I saw just up the road the next morning, And a nice park nearby with play equipment and facilities plus a lake.
The room was private. Parking was good right at my door. I do not have any complaints, actually, and that is pretty rare. I guess the only complaint I have is that it would be nice if there was an option to have a late checkout… till 11 am, nothing too Crazy. For example I got there quite late. In fact it was early morning when I arrived because of a variety of factors and it would be nice to have the option to stay that extra little while considering I got there so late at night. But that would be the only Suggestion.
Thank you for a...
Read moreWe checked-in on 18/12/20 and then unexpectedly due to COVID outbreak in Northern beach, Sydney the Victoria health announced that NSW/VIC border may be closed by midnight. In view of this unexpected news we had to leave quickly so as to reach back home safely and do not get caught in a lockdown.
We stayed in the room only for 4 hours and used only TV to listen news. We understand that it is beyond anyone control and we did use room for 4 hours thus not entitled for any refund.
However we still requested for a partial credit voucher to be used in future in the same motel as a gesture to loyal customer. The management however declined to give any credit or promotional voucher.
I felt quite disappointed because often Hotels offer promotions and discount vouchers to attract customers and reward old customers. By offering a partial credit voucher the hotel would have won our goodwill and long term loyalty and referrals to our friends.
Room facilities are excellent, neat and clean. A good...
