We walked to Chinamans Beach from the Murchison River area in Kalbarri since it was visible from the foreshore area. There were lots of people there and quite a few of them were casting lines from both sides of the beach. The beach itself had quite large waves. The sand was soft and fairly fine. It was nice walking along the beach instead of the footpath. The other end of the beach leads to Zuytdrop Memorial and the Back beach, which eventually leads to the Blue holes if you keep walking along it. It was a nice place to play in the water and enjoy the beach life.

Relaxing place with a lovely view. But please ask the council to change its racist name 😂 (along with the name of the street!) It is 2023, not 1923!

This little beach has it all..fishing for dad up one end. Jetty with a deep drop-off down the other, with parking and picnic tables close by.

Such a heart break. We came here for Xmas break in 2023 and the place was GORGEOUS (deffo 5 stars). Back in for Xmas 2024 and the building of a new car park just completely wrecked the pace: the perfect kids beach just got turned into a soulless rocky dump full of broken glass… as a proof: the place was heaving last year and not a soul was there today. Very sad to see so little thoughts put into that...

Beautiful swimming beach. I have wonderful memories of swimming here 30 years ago and have now brought my own kids here. Great in the late afternoon when the wind has picked up too much for the ocean beaches as it is protected from the strong sea breeze. Great snorkelling and beachcombing for littlies.
