Kalbarri Visitor Centre — Attraction in Kalbarri

Made a special trip into town to go the get info here and it was closed on Sundays! Went in the next day expecting our questions to be answered re road conditions and things to do further north to plan our trip but the only brochure they had was of Kalbarrie area which we had already obtained further south! We asked some questions about the trails and the woman looked up the answers in the brochure l mentioned so it was of no help. Could not believe that they had recieved a Visitor Centre of the Year Award last year! 🤔 Would be so helpful to have information on all surrounding areas. Don't book tours here. Avoid the admin fee by booking directly with operators. Charged without advice and when queried said "Sorry there is a booking fee of $ 21"! Never paid booking fees at any Visitor Centre before in 4 years of travel! RV unfriendly town, overpriced and over rated. Main highlight is the National Park which we accessed with free camping at Galena Bridge and driving out to the park for the day as well as the Coastal cliffs. Kalbarri lovely place but not very friendly towards people that are only stopping for 24 hours or those that just need a rest stop. A 24 hour stop would help- as the road campaign says “ DONT DRIVE TIRED” . We always spend a lot of money in to small business when this is offered.
