Pelican Shore Villas Kalbarri — Hotel in Kalbarri

Have stayed a few times now. These villas are great if you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation that is pet friendly. The villas are located close to the mouth of the Murchison River towards the southern route in and out of Kalbarri. They are a few hundred metres walk from the centre of town.

They are clean and spacious and perfect for families or groups. They are reasonably well equipped in terms of towels, bedding, kitchenware, washing machine, bbq, dining tables and chairs etc. The kitchen has the bare minimum in terms of crockery and cutlery, i.e. you need to bring your own cooking oil, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, tinfoil etc. There is reverse cycle heating and cooling.

Although the villas and furnishings are starting to look a little dated, everything is clean and functional. Check in is easy. If you are checking in after hours: make sure you call ahead so that they can leave the keys in a locked box for you.

If you have a small dog that likes to escape: we have stayed in two different villas and our dog was able to escape on multiple occasions from both villas. This isn’t such an issue if you have a larger dog. There’s plenty of parking if you have more than one...

My friends and I were needing a nice getaway from the city. As soon as I saw the listing with the beachfront view I had to book it.

We stayed at Villa 6 and it exceeded expectations, refurbished after Kalbarri was hit by Cyclone Seroja in 2021, the entire place felt brand new.

We spent sunsets sinking beers on the patio to the sound of crashing waves and woke up to curious kangaroos in front of our window.

The kitchen provided every amenity we needed to cook with, and the barbecues on site were in great condition. The beds were comfortable, and the place was spotless. The location is great, just a stroll down to Chinamans beach, and we would just walk down to fish. Value was okay, fair for how good the place was.

Note there's just 1 parking bay for each villa. Nearby Red Bluff...

Our stay at the Pelican shore villas was a great experience. We had an ocean front facing upstairs villa with beautiful views of the ocean and the river. Stunning sunsets at night and very comfortable accommodation. The hosts were very informative and friendly with nothing too difficult for them to do. The accommodation itself had 2 bedrooms and full kitchen 2 bathrooms and a laundry. Also fully furnished all you have to do is provide your own food. If you are thinking about staying in kalbarri I would highly recommend Pelican Shore villas. The location is walking distance to everything, they are very comfortable villas with everything included (apart from food)and great for family or couples vacations.
