The ride was great with a great view of the rainforest jungles. What was disappointing the dimond upgrade is not great as you will see the jungle and doesn't worth to pay extra to upgrade your ticket to see what's going under and they force you to share it with others. Gondolas with glass bottom was every 10, so you need to wait long time to get the right gondola. The operator at Kuranda (Dan) was hopless and not friendly, we standed on kew for 15 minuts and all groups ahead of us ride. When it was our turn, he said we need to share the gondola with other group behind us as they are happy to share or they can ride before us and we wait, we can ride alone if a group behind of us don't want to share (this was not for the ordinary gondola as there were plenty of gondolas) The group behind us took the advantage of his favour and ride before us, we waited another 10 minutes, another group came and same story, they said they are happy to share gondola with someone or we need to let them to ride before us. Since we didn't have time, we just took a ordinary gondola as we had to wait wait... what a shame. You can force people to share when it is busy not when there are only two groups, it is not...
Read moreGreat day so much to see and do not enough time to see or experience it all in a one day trip let alone the half day tour recommend going on earliest possible tour times and really researching and getting organized on paper maps and brochures provided to avoid any time wasting getting side tracked needed a whole day just to shop and look around the market at top of mountain and then another whole day to look at all the different shops avail another few days to experience and try all the food stores and pubs and restaurants and a another full day each for the bird 🐦 sanctuary and butterfly sanctuary too just wasn't enough time and was too exhausted from all the walking on way back down on cable cars to get off at either of the 2 stops offered to walk around the rainforest tree tops or look out points just too much to do and see and trek thru all or even close to all it had to offer in one day and very expensive to go on numerous times during 9day holiday so a Lil disappointed but not with the place just with how much time there wasn't to really get ur money's worth out...
Read moreThe skyrail would have taken an eternity to create, and they did an amazing job. The engineering behind it, works so well and the way they somehow know when to slow down and speed back up at the drop off points is awesome.
The staff did a great job also, except for 1 which was in the middle when we were forced to get off. Why ask if we want to stay on, if we are forced to get off and change to another skyrail? It is so confusing for us, native speakers. Imagine tourists. They say no to keep going, and then you tell them to hurry up and get out. I saw people walking around like crazy, confused on what to do afterwards. This was Tuesday 05/11/2024 at around 4:00pm
The views are very boring however, you are right on top of the trees and barely see anything, just sky and trees with the one off waterfall and train. The end when you go down to the final drop off is when you get an awesome view. Patience will be needed.
