German Tucker — Restaurant in Kuranda

Was excited to try this place being a local in Cairns and having a partner who lives up this way, as well as being half German myself and growing up with German food. Customer service was so poor/ non existent, very unwelcoming. We asked to add cheese to our hot dogs only to be told this was not possible, even though there was cheese on the menu for the salad roll and the Kaseknacker sausage had cheese in it. We could not see any drink menus or beer and pretty much had a sausage slapped onto a barely buttered bread roll with some Sauerkraut and onion, slapped onto a plastic plate then slapped onto a table we weren’t even sitting down at yet ! The non existent, unwelcoming customer service did not do justice to the tasty Kaseknacker and Sauerkraut ! Being a local I get dissapointed when receiving poor not happy, genuine, friendly customer service 😕 however I worry more for our tourists who we appreciate and Buisness wise rely on visiting far North Queensland do not get the customer service they deserve visiting our beautiful...

However, they do provide an alternative option to transfer money to their account, which can be convenient if you're caught without cash. One point of contention during my visit was the owner's behavior. I encountered some rudeness from the owner, which was disappointing and put a damper on the overall experience. I normally dont write reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience. We sat down at a table (very chill and casual) i ordered a cheese and beef wurst (one of the best sausages on their menu) with onion and sauer kraut. I was told to pay after and that it didnt matter whether I paid before or later. They were extremely fast with cooking and I got my meal in no time. They had origional mustard which I was very happy about. The sausages were AMAZING. So good that I ordered another one. After that I paid. Not realising that it was CASH ONLY luckly I had some cash on me. Over all it was a great experience with the german music in the background. And the most friendly staff ever. Ill definitely...
