I ordered the pancake stack for my 4 year old this morning as a special treat. Unfortunately they were undercooked and gluggy and my daughter wouldn't eat them, nor could I. I really hate to make complaints and get very embarrassed in doing so, but after spending $21 for 2 Pancakes I asked staff if they were undercooked or if that is the "style" of their Pancakes. The staff were very nice and took them back to the kitchen, only to return them with an apology that they were not up to their standers and offered a free drink to compensate. I did ask why I would be charged for something that they admitted was not up to standard. They said they couldn't do anything about it cause they were half eaten. They were not, I took two bites. I was happy to pay for the scoop of icecream my daughter ate from the meal but had hoped they would offer to serve us some edible Pancakes or refund part or the meal cost. I felt so embarrassed with the situation and left feeling really upset with my daughter saying she was hungry. Read moreArrived for brunch about 10.30 on a Saturday morning. All other diners were finished/finishing. We ordered brekky and coffee. Coffees arrived and they were nice. Everyone else left. We were literally the only customers in the place and there were about 4 staff. 40 minutes later, still no food, so I asked if it was coming. Wi-Fi was blamed that caused our order not to go through to the kitchen? Sure, that might happen, but we were the only people there, nobody came and collected our empty, cold coffee mugs, there were no water jugs left, no staff wondered why 2 guys were sitting in a cafe looking bored and hungry. We would’ve just cancelled the food but since you order and pay first, we continued to wait. One of us got the spinach with a side of breakfast burrito. I clarified to ensure I heard correctly and I was advised they weren't supplying service at the moment. Wasn't even asked what we were wanting to have.
