The Coffee Club Café - Caneland Central — Restaurant in Queensland

Appalled with the service we received today… we walked in around 11:15am, upon arrival the cafe was only half full. We waited over 30 mins for drinks, and over 45 mins for food.

My chocolate frappe was full of full ice cubes. My partners coffee frappe was bitter/burnt. My big breakfast had to be sent back as my poached eggs were rubber. After getting it back I realised my sausages were over cooked, and the hash brown was raw in the middle. My partner ordered a burger, the chips came out cold and soggy. The sauce on it was loaded up and over powered the flavours of the burger and the bun was extremely wet.

While waiting we noticed a lot of tables being left uncleared for over 40 mins. Food/drinks being rung but both servers walking up to the pass looking at it and walking away. Also witness 1 of your servers constantly touching her hair, face and glasses and not washing her hands afterwards. Leaning over food on the pass and talking. As well as having a very passive aggressive attitude towards us and other customers, and looking unpresentable.

This is our 3rd time coming here and each time we have been unhappy with the service...

We had lunch today at the one outside the shopping mall and had a terrible experience. We always dine every Sunday here and most of the time we were sevred very good but today, with this particular waitress with a green hair didn't. The store was packed, so we grabbed the only table that was clean but after 5mins a better table was available but wasn't cleaned yet. This waitress then started asking if we are alright to order and so I told her that we were actually waiting for that table( points to which one) to be clean so we could transfer. she then walks out and threw the menus on a little counter and I thought she will clean the table for us so we could get our orders done but instead she grabbed another set of menus and took the orders of the other customers. We waited for about 10mins to see if she will come back to entertain us but she didn't. Until 2 people took the seat that we wanted to be cleaned and was cleaned for them immediately. Frustrated, we jumped to another uncleaned table and arranged it then asked a staff to wipe it for us. Another 10mins pass before a different waitress asked...

Having received below standard food at coffee club Townsville years ago, against my better judgement my husband and I decided to again try coffee club at canelands for breakfast. Place was pretty empty but table service was slow, prompting my husband to go to counter to order coffees while we waited. He was sent back to our table to wait, and in a couple of minutes an unpleasant waitress came to take our order. During our wait, we noticed the pizzeria next door was open and serving big delicious looking eggs benny's, but as we had already ordered we felt we best stay.

When our meals came, we were disappointed to say the least. For $19, I have always received a voluptuous eggs Benny at every cafe I have ever eaten at around Australia, not so at the coffee club -the meal they served was what I would expect if I had spent $10, 2 eggs, a couple of strips of bacon and 2 overwhelmingly bare pieces of ciabata toast, a very bare looking meal.
