Bark Park — Attraction in Melbourne

Absolutely disgusted & appalled by the dangerous & incompetent service that was given to my poor dog today resulting in her paw pad being butchered by the groomer & rushed to the vet for emergency treatment. No one from Bark Park even cared to follow up with me, no one said sorry, no one took responsibility for what occurred, no gesture made to help cover the vet costs, no good will at all. Upon my email of complaint, which I have every right to do, I received an offensive, mean, arrogant & sarcastic response. The vets diagnosis was even questioned which is just appalling & no care for my dogs health was shown. Save yourself the anxiety & stress that I have unfortunately gone through & do not use this service. In 8 years of having my dog I have never seen anything more unethical, incompetent, & lack of care shown than this!!!!

Comments below by the owner, who also wasn’t there and didn’t witness what happened are false and completely offensive, as confirmed by the vet, my dogs paw pad was cut open. Dog had excessive bleeding & a laceration which isn’t in line with the fabrication of the story below. 3 days later my dog still can’t walk and is taking antibiotics & probiotics and is in a great deal of pain. It is extremely insensitive & ‘unkind’ to take no responsibility when this damage was done to my dog. All that was needed was a genuine apology, not gaslighting the victim & trying to intimidate me when I picked up my dog & through aggressive emails. Again, you should be ashamed of yourself. I have too many good things to say about this park. I visit at least once a week, often more often as I love it so much. It is a safe and fun place for my dog, foster dogs and dog sitting clients to spend time with plenty of space and enrichment opportunities. Even when there are less dogs there it is still full of enjoyable things for my dogs to do and they are happy and exhausted when we get home.

Bailey, the groomer for Bark Bath also does a fantastic grooming job. What I like best is the care taken with anxious dogs, reading their cues and taking breaks to play as needed if it gets too stressful. My foster dog who is just learning to trust humans again is being treated with love and care to make sure the progress he is making continues in a positive way. I would highly recommend getting your bookings in as it is getting harder to secure an appointment as people find out about Bailey’s approach to grooming.

The events we have attended have been super fun for dogs and humans alike- games, activities and general opportunities to play with other dogs make these events incredibly fun- most recently we attended Howloween and their Christmas Party, both of which were excellent.

And finally- there is coffee!!! It is so good to be able to play with my dogs and enjoy a coffee myself and spoil them with puppuccinos or dog milk shakes!!!

Bark Park has given me a place that I feel comfortable taking my dogs even when it’s raining or they are suffering from grass allergies. I am so glad that I have found such a wonderful place to enjoy time...

Bailey has done an amazing job in grooming our Rottweiler. We have never used a groomer before but a friend recommended Bailey's service. We were a bit nervous at the beginning as our dog gets very anxious in environments she has never been in before plus no grooming experience at all and we didn't know how she would take this all in. Amazingly, when we picked her up she was the happiest girl with the prettiest coat. Bailey has done an amazing job grooming her but also accommodating her anxiety and bringing out her best side. She was so excited after her groom and little play session in the playground that she fell asleep straight away in the car on our way back home.
