Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall Moorabbin is a great place to go for a drink and some food. The brewery has a wide range of award-winning beers on tap, from classic core range beers to limited releases. The food menu is also varied and includes something for everyone, with gluten-free and vegan options available. The brewery is located in a converted warehouse, which gives it a cool and industrial vibe. There is plenty of seating, both inside and outside, so you can find a spot to relax and enjoy your beer. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are happy to help you choose the perfect beer for your taste. Here are some of the things I liked most about Stomping Ground Moorabbin: The beer selection: The brewery has a wide range of beers on tap, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the Moor Pale, which is a juicy pale ale with notes of mango, passionfruit, and tropical melon. The food menu: The food menu is varied and includes something for everyone. I had the chicken schnitzel burger, which was delicious. There are also gluten-free and vegan options available. The atmosphere: The brewery has a cool and industrial vibe. There is plenty of seating, both inside and outside, so you can find a spot to relax and enjoy your beer. The staff: The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are happy to help you choose the perfect beer for your taste. Overall, I had a great time at Stomping Ground Moorabbin. The beer is excellent, the food is good, and the atmosphere is cool. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to enjoy a drink and some food. Here are some tips for visiting Stomping Ground Moorabbin: Visit on a weekday: The brewery can get quite busy on weekends, so it's best to visit on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowds. Make a reservation: If you are planning on visiting on a weekend, it's a good idea to make a reservation. Try a paddle: If you can't decide what beer to order, try a paddle. This is a great way to sample a few different beers. Take advantage of the outdoor seating: The brewery has a large outdoor area with plenty of seating. This is a great place to enjoy a beer on a sunny day.

OK as an ex PML employee was very keen to have a meal at Stomping Ground Moorabbin situated on the site of the old Philip Morris cigarette factory and yes the food was nice and the garlic "pizza" in particular was delicious. Had spinach and ricotta pastry which was a very generous size, husband had octopus while others had fish and chips and halloumi. We also shared chocolate stout brownie. Drinks, beer, proseccos, flat whites and soy lattes, unfortunately decaf is not available. No table service so go to counter to order which is an absolute free for all, no system in place and people just pushing past others to get served. The decor is good with nice touches of greenery. Note when you book you have to leave your credit card details, OK, but after you have left them find out booking for only 2 hours, you can be seated on a communal table or a high table or a low table. Then when there be careful to avoid all the dogs. I love dogs but not when I'm dining and not when I need to step around them to get to bathroom and on a couple of occassions I saw staff having to jump over Labrador sprawled right across the aisle. Thankfully they weren't carrying anything, can you imagine! 23.8 about 20 ex PML employees there for lunch, nice to catch up with people haven't seen for a long time. Had Prosecco and chips. 20.1.24 four of us for 4 hour lunch! Shared starters of garlic pizza, houlami, croquettes (meat and vegetarian) and then for mains I had margarita pizza, husband had fish n chips while others had BBQ octopus and burger and chips. And for drinks - Prosecco, beers, ginger beer, sparkling, red, mojito and margarita, so a good selection! Wanted coffee but they don't have decaf, even though asked when entering if they did. It was quite warm and they didn't turn on air con until place had filled up, so that was uncomfortable.

The place is styled well and has great atmosphere. That was about it for me as I didn't think the food was very good. I have been to Stomping Ground in Collingwood which had better food. The system for ordering drinks does not work. You order food via a QR code but have to leave your table and wait at the bar to order drinks. I can understand that RSA can be an issue and they may want to assess all orders face to face, but it makes it a less enjoyable experience when you are having food and a few drinks but have to leave your table to wait in line for drinks. This was a very annoying part of my experience and does not work very well. The charcuterie board was very basic and bordering on lower cost items. The board cost $30 and was not very nice. We tried a bit of each meat but left the majority behind as it was unappealing. I had a grain salad which was oily and heavy, rather than light, fresh and zesty. Again, I left most of it behind as it was not very enjoyable. These places need to focus on the food and not on the fact that they are just a brewery as the prices being charged do not reflect the quality of food received. I was disappointed and will not go back. You should have a drinks menu available at each table as there is not one online when ordering food. This means each person seated for a meal, must go to the bar to see the drinks menu above the bar. Then return to pass on their order to the person who will be purchasing the drink.

I was so disappointed! I had been for the first time the week before with some friends for drinks and really liked the atmosphere, especially the fact it is dog friendly, so I wanted to take my family for lunch. We arrived without a booking and were accommodated, even though the place was packed, but were told we could only have the table for an hour since it had been reserved. I said this wasn't a problem as we just wanted to eat lunch and would leave after. We ordered the food on my mobile phone via the QR-code stuck to the table, which seems to be the way a lot of casual dining places are heading. However, we couldn't order the drinks this way and had to go to the bar and order and pay for them separately. I had a really delicious Belgian Strong Dark Ale and I ordered a lemon, lime, and bitters each for my wife and daughter. They complained that their drinks were not mixed properly and didn't come with a straw to do so. Also, one was at least half an inch less full than the other. It took about 20 minutes for my wife's chicken schnitzel to arrive, which wasn't too bad considering how busy they were. Unfortunately, it was cold and not well seasoned, to the point where it tasted really bland. Then my daughter and I waited for our food. And waited. Eventually the host noticed us waiting and asked what we had ordered and went off, presumably to the kitchen. This seemed to do nothing, as we continued to wait. Eventually the host returned to tell us that because the food was taking so long, we would have to move tables because ours was reserved! My fish and chips and my daughter's hamburger eventually arrived 50 minutes after we ordered. Since my wife's food had arrived 30 minutes earlier, she had just about finished hers by this time (and she had tried to eat really slowly to wait for us). My fish was quite nice, though it came with a weird onion and pea mix that I didn't much care for, but my daughter's hamburger bun had been over toasted and was burnt. She said all she could taste was the burnt bun. This is quite unfortunate since we live less than 5 minutes away and I was hoping this would be our new favourite local casual dining place. Unfortunately, we won't be back again, at least for food.

So here's an update. You will see that I received a reply from Stomping Ground asking me to contact their manager by email as he wants more detail. I did so over a week ago and have heard absolutely nothing back from him. They need to seriously work on their customer skills if they wish to...
