Box Hill Station was built back in the 1882 when the population was 154. Then in 1983 when the population was around 50,000 the current station was built to eliminate the level crossing at Station Street. Box Hill Central Shopping Centre and the bus interchange above it were built over the top of the station, with the complex eventually being completed by 1985. There's also a tram stop within 5 minutes walking distance. All this makes Box Hill Central a very appealing place to shop. There are just sooo many stores including fashion, shoes, cosmetic, hair and beauty salons, banks, pharmacy, homewares, gifts and flowers, Asian groceries and supermarkets like Woolworths and Coles, newsagents, sports and fitness, there's even fresh food, vegetable and meat markets, many cafes and restaurants, a massive food court, and the list just goes on. This place has everything you could possibly need! There must be at least 100 stores. As well as being very clean, it has public toilets and free WiFi and it's also manned by Public Security Officers (PSOs) at night. ps: I'm giving this place five stars and being a Google Master Photographer and Google Master Reviewer, I'm coming back soon with a serious camera and will review as many of the individual stores as I can. I'll also progressively try the food, juices and coffee and rate them all. Stay tuned.

This place shows why Australia can't give up on Chinese population or their money. A pleasant and yummy experience when Melbourne's cold June, dark, 5 degree windy night.

I have been doing my weekly/biweekly grocery shopping here for the last 30 years. Lots of improvement have been made to both Woolworth and Coles sides throughout the years. But of course, there is always room for continuous improvement, and to keep up with the increased population in the area. The central management has done well to have organized different events and displays to celebrate different cultural events throughout the year (eg. Mid autumn festival for the Chinese community group today). And we had the coconut display and Japanese drum event few weeks/months ago to attract visitors and new crowd to Box Hill Central. Whenever I have a visitor from overseas (especially someone coming from Asia), I always take them to Box Hill Central to experience the 'Little Asia' in Melbourne. On the minus side, this can make the place more packed and crowded for regular shoppers like me - and harder to find a parking spot. So I will try to avoid going to Box Hill Central on my busy day when I just want a quick top up grocery stop.

A Shopper's Haven: Box Hill Central Delights All Senses!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Review:

Box Hill Central is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Box Hill. As a frequent visitor to this bustling shopping precinct, I cannot help but sing its praises. From the moment you step into the vibrant atmosphere, you are greeted with a delightful blend of culture, entertainment, and a diverse range of stores that cater to every need.

First and foremost, the variety of shops at Box Hill Central is unparalleled. Whether you're a fashion enthusiast, a tech-savvy individual, or a food lover, this place has it all. The wide selection of boutiques, flagship stores, and major retail chains ensures that there is something for everyone. I particularly appreciate the presence of both local and international brands, which adds to the unique shopping experience.

What truly sets Box Hill Central apart is its multicultural character. The shopping center beautifully reflects the rich diversity of the community, and it's truly a melting pot of cultures. From Asian grocery stores to authentic eateries serving mouthwatering cuisine from various regions, the culinary journey offered here is a treat for the taste buds. I highly recommend exploring the food court, where you can savor flavors from around the world, and indulge in delectable dishes that will leave you craving for more.

The layout and design of the shopping center are both visually appealing and functional. The spacious interiors, well-lit corridors, and comfortable seating areas provide a pleasant environment for shoppers to relax and unwind. The presence of ample parking spaces and convenient public transport access further enhances the overall convenience.

Box Hill Central also goes beyond being just a shopping destination. It hosts a range of exciting events and activities throughout the year, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for visitors of all ages. Whether it's live music performances, cultural celebrations, or art exhibitions, there is always something happening to captivate your interest.

Finally, the customer service at Box Hill Central deserves special mention. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to assist shoppers. From helping you locate a specific store to providing recommendations, their warm and professional attitude truly enhances the overall shopping experience.

In conclusion, Box Hill Central is a shopper's haven that offers an exceptional blend of retail therapy, cultural immersion, and community engagement. Its diverse range of stores, mouthwatering culinary offerings, and vibrant atmosphere make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, this shopping center will leave you with fond memories and a desire to return. Box Hill Central truly encapsulates the essence of a thriving shopping precinct, and I cannot...

Box Hill Central tends to be a sweet and bitter experience. Of recent years it has grown incredibly huge in popularity and it has well and truly out grown itself. It offers easy access shopping for people coming by train as Box Hill station is directly underneath. Parking is very tight and carries a fee of $1.00 for the first three hours which use to be free on Sundays but now charged. There are many well priced fruit and vegetable stores along with great selection of meats, seafood and European deli. The quality is inconsistent throughout the year, specifically in summer time the food takes a hard hit. The centre where the market area is lacks in cooling and the fruit and vegetables wilter in the heat. This centre does offer alot of other shopping experiences, there are unique shops such as a Massage chair shop, health food, asian herbs and spices, Big W, EB games, News Agents, McDonald's, Bubble tea stands, phone shops, clothing and discount stores along with some nice caffe/chocolate shops and Bakery's. There is a ridiculously busy food court that carries a wide variety of Asian cuisine. Although there are cleaner's, the food court itself is lacking in clean tables and seating because of Pigeons that fly and land everywhere, this really leaves one questioning the health and saftey of eating there. The seperatly run restaurants with their own seating seem alot cleaner. If you like Asian cuisine grocery shopping and dodging busy crowds with a bit of atmosphere I would say Box Hill is...
