I am a regular user of Box Hill skatepark. Parents are increasingly unaware of skatepark etiquette and allowing their toddlers to scooter about unrestricted. For instance, toddlers are sliding into the bowl on their bums with no warning just as I'm about to drop in. On several occasions I have had to jump off my board narrowly missing a child. A collision on one of those near misses could have been fatal. I would have had to live with that for the rest of my life. The matter should be taken as seriously as not allowing children to run across basket ball courts while games are in session and running across roads.

There are lots of different obstacles and ramps/bowls to try out, and something to suit the beginners through to advanced riders. There is also seating and a covered area, plus a public toilet on site. Plus a bonus repair station with most of the basic tools to make board/bike...
