I love browsing here.... there are so many different collections and cabinets .. some wonderfully up market "Clarice Cliff" and older pieces sourced in England. All sorts of Vintage including Victoriana, Edwardian , Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Australiana, Japanese, Ethnic and all sorts of Memorabilia .... all in a comfortable two storey hall opposite Camberwell Station. I try to make a day of it and combine this market and Maling Rd Canterbury, two stations apart on the rail line...so easy.

Camberwell Antique Centre is always on my hit list when I visit Melbourne, easily reserve 1-2 hours to enjoy looking through every cabinet. It is a true pleasure to visit, they have a wonderful range that would excite most collectors no matter what your taste. There are also some true treasures here which are a joy to see! Make sure you visit, you won’t be disappointed if vintage/antiques is your scene.

Great place to find those Art Deco or fifties pieces. Can be expensive but can be reasonable as well. The owners / shop assistants are very helpful and can advise where to find what you want. There are mini shops in the shop where collectors are selling their items so, although rare, you may get a bargain.

We recently had an assessment made by this company of several antiques items we wished sell. We had researched certain items and had an idea the price range we though was fair (aware that you do not get top dollar).

After assessment these antique dealers offered less than $400 for antiques valued at over $6000.

I must express my concern at the offer made and can only wonder for those who wish to deal with this...
