Previously known as The Well but after redevelopment renamed Camberwell Place, it's over 3 levels and for a neighbourhood shopping centre, it's a reasonable size. Having majors like Coles, Liquorlnd, JB Hi-Fi, Brumby's Bakery, Terry White Chemist and Medibank, makes it a popular local shopping destination. It also has a number of smaller specialty retailers including the gourmet grocer Coltivare, Rainbow Meats butcher, the Fish & Sushi Well, Wheel & Barrow Homewares, Rex Espresso for coffee and eats, and the Nail Affair and Hair Hub salons. The centre has good services and amenities including a great parent's room on Level 1 however, being a popular shopping destination and in the heart of the Camberwell shopping precinct, one of its biggest problems is car parking. It's a bit cramped and can be quite busy during the weekends and holidays.

I never go to any mall restrooms that have such terrible smell and a dirty condition like this. No one seems to clean or pay attention to them at all. The center is not that big to make it hard to keep clean and maintain the hygiene. Today, the paper roll is out. How is it even possible? I heard from the people there that the management team work here and also goes around to check things, why they dont do anything to make it cleaner? Men staffs clean women restroom, and women staffs do for men. They usually shut them both to clean at peak hours, and people have to use the one and only disable toilet. Is it acceptable?

Anchor tenant at Camberwell Place is Coles and JB HiFi, supported by Rainbow Meats, Fish Pier, bakery, deli and a few other shops. Regrettably, Covid lockdown has left the centre with a few empty shops. Fortunately, one can still get great cofee and food from Rex Espresso and a choice of sushi from Sushi Pier or Sushi Well. Scrap that, Sushi Well closed on 31 May 2025
