Carrum Beach — Attraction in Melbourne

Please don’t go to this beach with kids or people who cannot swim. It’s too dangerous cause from 4 feet to straight u fall into 7 feet’s. On 7 Jan me n my frns went to this beach. It’s my first time in this beach. I always go to Chelsea beach as I felt it was safe and shallow for kids. This beach my frns were just walking they were just halfway not even further they just fell into deep zone. It was close to 6 and half feet. They kept shouting for help. Thankfully there were some people in inflatable raft or boat u can say. I asked then how it happened they told that it suddenly stepped and fell into deep zone. There was no warning sign and plus it was not far from beach. I have been to several beaches but this beach was very dangerous cause as ur walking u can just come from 4 feet to 7 feet. Definitely not mend for family with kids or people who cannot swim. Please share with everyone. No point searching for life guard cause they were not there...

I recently visited Carrum Beach and had an amazing time. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft white sand and clear blue water. The beach was not too crowded and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the sun and the sea. The beach is also patrolled by lifeguards which is a plus.

Carrum beach has a long boardwalk that runs along the beach, which is perfect for a morning or evening stroll.

The beach has a playground and a skatepark, which sidney use. There is also a large carpark and toilets, making it easy to spend a whole day at the beach.

CARELESS DOG OWNERS. We are regular to this wonderful beach and enjoy this place with our kids like any other local family. But observed recently that there's been an increase in dog owners not following local council laws and not considerate to other people's choices on the beach. Dogs should be on leash at all times specified at the beach. I've observed many times now that few dog owners letting their dogs run off leash and approach other dogs (which are on leash) and even kids who aren't comfortable or unaware of this sudden approach. This is intimidating for families who just want to be there for a good family time. There is a need for people to be more responsive and follow local laws.
