I never wait when I come across something that looks great. I jumped immediately upon seeing this cafe come across my feed. I visited for a Sunday brunch with my daughter. It was busy, but we had no problems being seated. We were sat on a communal table inside. Staff were very friendly and prompt with service.
I had a difficult time deciding what to order, so I opted to order the big breakky board. It comes with local eggs, sourdough bread, bacon, garlic mushrooms, roast tomato, hash brown, bircher cup, avocado and relish. The menu had plenty of gluten free and vegan options, which was great.
Food arrived promptly and presentation was great! I thoroughly enjoyed every element on the board; despite it being a simple dish. The coffee was also delightful and my daughter enjoyed digging in. I have a very positive experience and look forward to returning. I highly recommend checking out their flower pot scones!
I revisited within a week and had their Salmon Bagel. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly again! This will be a regular to to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to investigate Eggs Benedict on Rosti w/Salmon. (Rosti is a traditional Swiss breakfast item sort of like an omelette but potato, not eggs)
New owners recently taken over and renovated with new name Gretel's Coffee Roasters! Shop is bright and clean, staff are.polite and efficient.
No Rosti anymore however, we still went with Eggs Benedict + Avo, Hash B & 1 Mug of flat white & 1 Mugacino! Hash B was like a mini Rosti anyway.
The food was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. Coffee was delicious and as good as anywhere in the area!
Being a qualified barista, could tell machine cleaned properly and regularly which impressed, seeing steady flow of customer orders.
Only thing I could pick out is may'be coffee could have been slightly hotter, however that is being very picky.
Pet hate is when coffee comes out a fraction too hot and the milk is burned, which is common! The flavour of everything was deli ious and prices were fair.
Well worth a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas very disappointed with the food. Came as a large group and each couple ordered the big breakfast and paid the upgrade to share between two. Each plate had only 2 eggs, expected to feed two, one egg per person. Asked for eggs to be cooked a specific way and they werenāt we returned them to the kitchen to have them sent back exactly the same. Hash brown was some kind of boiled ball of potato, almost uneditable. Sourdough bread was stale and like a rock. Coffees were cold. They brought us a extra coffee that we didnāt order and left it on the bill and only noticed when we got home. Overly very disappointed as we had read good reviews and was excited to visit. Wont be coming back, huge...
