If you are after a tasty pizza and have no reservations about being ripped off - then this is your place. $18.50 for a small "prawn special pizza", which contains only 2 prawns, that are cut in half lengthways, and for one slivered half placed on each slice (spoiler alert, pizza is cut up into 4 slices) should not be called a "prawn special pizza". I gave benefit of the doubt the first time it happened weeks back when we first tried this "special", though after giving it another go this weekend, it turns out it wasn't a mistake. When queried eith staff/management re the quantity of prawns vs title of the pizza vs price, it turns out that's just how they play the prawn game. Was the pizza tasty? Yeah, it was OK. But honestly, this review is mainly based on the principle of this whole scenario..
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, shame for Smoke Stack that wont be happening with us.'
If I could give 2.5 stars, thats what it would...
Read moreAfter not having a decent pizza since I was in Slovenia 12 months ago, I took the wife to Mr Smokestack tonight. As soon as I walked in the door, the staff were pleasant so we decided to eat in. We sat near where the pizza's were being made and watched them churn out the pizza's at a rate of knots, which in itself is a testament to their food.
When the pizza's arrived, they looked amazing and smelled amazing simply because they were amazing. Fresh, QUALITY ingredients, cooked just right to make for a couple of amazing pizza's. Easily the best I have had in this country, by a country mile!
If you want a 3 inch thick pizza containing close to 1kg of shredded ham, don't visit Mr Smokestack. If you want a pizza that tastes how a pizza should, this is the place for you. 20 odd bucks for a large pizza of this caliber is good value in my book and will be the only pizza shop I visit from here on in.
I'm already salivating thinking of what I'll eat next...

I had such a great experience at MrSmokestackPizza today. George, the owner, went above and beyond — not only did he make two absolutely amazing pizzas (a BBQ chicken and a margarita), but he also took the time to show me what type of firewood to use and how hot the oven should be.
I’ve got a pizza oven at home and needed some pointers, and George was more than happy to share his knowledge. We ended up chatting for ages, and he treated me with genuine kindness and respect the whole time. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does — he’s not just making pizzas, he’s creating an experience and passing on his wisdom.
The pizzas themselves were spot on — fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The whole team was friendly and welcoming too, which really made the visit even better.
If you’re around carrum, this place is a must. Great food, amazing people, and George is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to...
