We held our WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION at the Beach Bar in September. Early on, Kylie and Marinette took time to find out exactly what we wanted and plan our menu and drink requests. They gave us the opportunity to do a trial table set up a couple of weeks beforehand, and discuss how we'd like the function room staged. They met with our wedding celebrant to help plan the best way to set up the pergola for the ceremony.
On the day everything went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a 4pm wedding, with a variety of canapes and drinks served in the bar area. Everyone made their way into the reception room at 6pm. The tables were well positioned into the space creating a decent dance floor area and room for our musician. The alternate chicken/beef meals were good, desserts delicious and beautifully presented. They set up a coffee station for us, cut and served our wedding cake for supper.
We felt very relaxed knowing that everything was under control. It was such a fun night, and we would highly recommend the Beach Bar to anyone looking to hold a wedding or other function there.
Great parking nearby, and a total bonus to have the beach so close for photos too! It worked very well for us...
Read moreA really disappointing first experience at this venue. We arrived found a seat outside in the large âbeer gardenâ - this was great for our dogs too!
Unfortunately it went down hill from there. No sign of staff for 15 minutes, so used the QR Code on the table to order. This unfortunately didnât allow for modifications/requests (eg. a notes section). I went inside to order at the counter and I waited at the front of the line for 5 minutes without being served. The four staff I counted in the venue (ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY!) were rushing around and apologising, saying âI wonât be longâ. As crunchy bacon isnât a life or death request, I went back to our table and processed the order via the QR code.
35 minutes after ordering ⌠coffee arrived. Drinkable, nothing to write home about.
65 minutes after ordering ⌠food arrived. Cold, soggy and the âhollandaiseâ was inedible - looking more like a blob of butter than a classic sauce.
I understand this is a local cafe and to survive (especially on public holidays) surcharges are a necessity, though for the lack of service and poor quality of food, this place is extremely overpriced and taking advantage...
Read moreDisappointing and expensive breakfast with a long wait! Came here today on a public holiday with my girlfriend for breakfast. We were seated without menus and no sign of a waiter to take our order. We eventually ordered via the QR code which was an inconvenience. It took 40min to receive one flat white and I then had to then request my $9 juice (which I thought was fresh juice but wasnât)I also had to request a teaspoon for my coffee and noticed everyone around me who received their coffee also had to request a teaspoon. We asked two times if our food was on its way as we were over waiting and happy to cancel. As we went to get up to leave we were told our breakfast was being platted up. 5 min later our breakfast arrived and our waiter told us he would be back with cutlery and serviettes, he never returned. Customer service and attention to detail must be improved especially when you are paying over $5 for a public holiday surcharge on top of your food. One Breakfast and a juice cost me $44 which I think is very overpriced for a mediocre breakfast and...
