I take no pleasure in writing this review, but this was place bad. I would describe this place as a tourist trap and glorified at best la porchetta. We ordered 2 pastas, garlic bread, 2 soft drinks, and sparkling for the table totalling $84. Food came out super quick, but pasta tasted low quality and was somehow well overcooked? Was also quite tasteless. Grarlic bread tasted fresh and well buttered but lacked Garlic taste. I often walk past this place for work, and thought the appearance of the food looked nice when walking by, so decided to give it a try. They first seated us inside on a small table that had a tight walkway on either side, waiters frequently walked past, knocking the table. We asked to move to another table as there were a few empty ones around, they put us on another table inside very close another table and a point of sales system (so every waiter that put through an order had to walk close by). Because the table was so close to another table when more guest came it felt like a communial table and all we could hear was their conversation. To summarise the atmosphere, it was cramped with too many tables in a confined space, the live music from hardware lane was nice though. The service felt very rushed, all about volume and getting people in and out, waiter serving us was quite abrupt and pushy, however there were some friendly waitresses that brought our food and drink with a smile. In the end we couldn't get out of this place fast enough, we ate less than half our food before getting the bill to leave. If looking for decent Italian food in Melbourne, I would avoid this place at all costs, there are far better ones with nicer atmospheres and better quality food at the same price point.
