Awful experience today Staff was as slow as a turtle. There was only one person servicing. Kept checking her phone IN THE MIDDLE of another person's treatment (not my main concern).
I came in for eyebrow thread and Brazilian. I walked into the little room with the staff while she waits for the other customer's eyebrow tint to finish (it wasnt a busy day). The staff didn't leave the room to let me undress. She was on the phone while I was undressing. She was video calling someone to prove that she was "at work" then proceeded to sneakily videoed the customer outside sitting waiting for her Eyebrow tint (without her knowledge nor her consent). Staff didnt even let me know she was on a videocall while I didn't had my pants on! Then she said bye to the person on the phone. I had to clarify if the videocall is actually off.
She asked me to lay down on the bed. I asked if they clean the bed in between clients as there was only a plastic sheet on top to lie on. She said yes, but then changed her mind and asked me to get off and placed a cover on top. I can tell that the cover was used as there was an old wax left in the middle of the cover on an area where you lie on.
She proceeded to do the waxing WITHOUT any gloves on. (I checked, the gloves were available. She just didn't use it). She didn't use tweezers either. She used her long fingernails to pull the hair out. She also double dipped the sticks she used.
In the middle of the waxing session, the timer for the other customer went off. She said just wait. I told her to remember to wash her hands (as she didn't have gloves on while she was waxing me). She said "ofc i will". (I heard the water run few minutes later. Not sure if it's before she saw the other client or after). I stared at my watch to see how long the wait will be. I waited in the room with pants off for 5mins. Music turned on while I was waiting for her to come back.
She came back. Remembered she forget something from outside and left the door hanging open WHILE I HAD NO PANTS ON! I tried to shut the door while I was lying on the bed then she walked back in with a spray. She saw me trying to shut the door and rolled her eyes when she walked in. (Mind you she's been in and out of the room multiple times during treatment. Been opening the door (wide open i must say) multiple times while my bits are exposed).
She finished the waxing, walked out and left the door open! I was still undressed!! I shut the door behind her. I don't care if there is no one else in the salon. Basic client decency: shut the door behind you! Idk if she washed her hands after she finished with me as I didn't hear the water run.
What's worse out of all of this, I get home and there are still hair left over!
I came to this place as they were the cheapest out of the ones at Knox and they had good 4.7 stars. How deceiving.
Quite unhygienic with zero consideration/respect to your clients at all. I've never had this treatment before and I've been to awful ones. I left the place angry. This is more than just an inconvenience.
I didn't know this was the service I was going to get. Maybe just stick to just doing eyebrows. Don't come here if you're getting intimate areas done. Probably just double check too if the previous client got Brazilian done cos chances are you might got coochie hands going straight to your...
