Mad Mex — Restaurant in Melbourne

We went there for lunch & ordered a regular size chicken burrito and a burrito bowl also regular size. 1st I must say the portions are really small..for the price.2nd we asked for it to be spicy and the lady said it would cost $1 extra. WHY??? We wanted Guacamole in both..again she said it would be $2 extra..I would not mind paying more but to be given such small portion size for that price is such a rip off. Likewise the burrito had less than normal filling This was our 2nd visit to the Knox one..even the last time I had felt the portions were small however didn't give it much thought as we were quite hungry. We have eaten at other Tex Mex before but this one at Knox particularly serves small sized portions. The staff are possibly told to serve less by the ownrr in order to ramp up on the profits perhaps. However I do find that eating places that cut corners to make that extra buck..may profit in that transaction but don't really last in the long run. Never...

Today I went to mad mex at Knox. I was very excited to enjoy my meal and get a burrito when my mood was abruptly ruined when I was overcharged for a small burrito. I asked for extra guacamole and the girl said it was going to be an extra dollar, as well as that the girl never mentioned the meat I selected was going to be an extra charge as well. When I got to the counter the total was 18.90, with guacamole spilling out of the sides ruining my meal and making it hard to eat. After soon realising there was no way my small burrito with extra guacamole would be 18.90 while the original price is 11.90. Overcharged I was refunded my money but not until I had to confront the worker and had to CONVINCE her that she was wrong. Be cautious approaching this Mad Mex and watch the cash. I am severely appalled by this experience and shall not...

New Mexican joint at Knox! We went in for our first time and was pleasantly surprised. We just wanted Nachos, but you actually get to build your own kinda like subway which is cool, I just got the norm type toppings, black beans, beef, salsa, liquid cheese, liquid sour cream (which tastes better than it looks) tomato, lettuce and guacamole (I got an extra serve which was an extra $4 🤨 which I didn’t question but 🤷🏼‍♀️ what are ya gona do..?). We also had the same serve but with chicken too instead of beef. We enjoyed it! Really tasty, would definitely go back! Well done guys, I think they’ll do well! Will have to try the other dishes.
