Disappointing experience here. Hubros used to be our favourite cafe that we used to go to at least twice a week.

They’ve increased prices on their toasties from $13-$18, but decreased food quality significantly.

Menu has changed, the magic mushies (their mushroom toastie) now have spinach and pesto, and just taste horrible. In the past, we’ve brought over people and everyone said their menu was the best thing they’ve ever had. Now it’s just disappointing.

The avocado toastie with paprika was soggy and the avocado didn’t feel fresh. In the past, the bread was crispy all around and the avocado was fresh and not mashed up like baby food.

We decided to give it one last try today. Regretted our experience.

From one of the best cafes that always was full of people, which had hour long wait times for food which we never minded, it’s has now maybe 3 groups of people and that’s it.

I came here for the second time today after having a great first experience on Thursday. Unfortunately, today was very disappointing. I ordered two iced strawberry matchas, paid, and sat down, only to then be told by a second server that the first server accidentally rang it up as hot matcha. Instead of owning the mistake, I was told I had to pay extra if I wanted the drinks iced—an additional $6 on top of what I had already paid.

That is not good customer service. If the café makes a mistake, it should not be the customer’s responsibility to cover it. In the end, I paid over $25 for two matchas, which is just ridiculous. Really let down after such a positive...

Usually one of my favourite spots to grab a coffee with friends was tainted today but the staff member with red hair. As I was ordering my coffee I was asking my friend on the phone what coffee she would like but cut off by this staff member stating “sorry, I cannot stand you” referencing to me being on the phone when she had clearly seen me in the line asking my friend for her coffee order. Even after explaining the situation I was met with a rude tone.

I never write reviews but felt the need as there was not one ounce of patience as well as no one else waiting to order so I feel as the tone was unnecessary and...
