Army Museum North Queensland — Attraction in North Ward

I was in Townsville on business and locals recommended a visit to the museum at Kissing Point. Staff were friendly and more than happy to answer questions and demonstrated a good knowledge of their museum and local military history. Loved the badges and uniforms which are my particular interest. The other larger scale exhibits were well presented with plenty of room to move around and get a good view of everything. A very interesting museum. Lots of interesting artefacts from the Boer War to modern day conflicts telling the story of the Australia's involvement. What a great little museum - a hidden gem! There are 3 galleries in total covering different era's, and some of the displays are really well put together. Definitely worth a visit, we spent an hour here but your could spend longer if you read everything.
