Sorry but today I went to Rock Pool Townsville what a mistake, paid $61:00 dollars for breakfast, requesting the smashed avocado with no feta as the young girl checked if they had lactose free feta she advised it was not lactose free, so I requested the feta to be removed. The young girl repeated my order 2 X lactose free coffees 1 X Rock Pool roll for my husband and Smashed avocado with blissed cherry tomatoes and the feta cheese to be removed.
Breakfast finally arrived only to have feta cheese on on it, the young girl whom had delivered the meal was hard to get her attention to advice I had requested no feta cheese. The meal was removed and brought back very quickly only to discover that the feta cheese had been scratched off the toast , the so called blistered cherry tomatoes were cold and avocado you could not even put the fork into, the poached eggs could have bounce off the wall if you threw them, the only good thing about there restaurant was the view. Will not go back and not recommend them at all. I would go to McDonald’s before I go to Rock Pool. By the way I have never ever gone to McDonald’s in my life and I am almost...

Read moreThe Strand Rockpool is such an interesting location along Townsville’s stunning foreshore. This man-made, stinger-resistant seawater lagoon offers a safe and refreshing swimming experience, making it an ideal spot for families. Both my children have been a little scared of the idea of stingers since we've been in Queensland but they both found the water easy to access and had heaps of fun during the stop.
What sets this spot apart is its thoughtful design and accessibility. I cant believe the Rockpool is free, it also is equipped with facilities like toilets, outdoor showers, and nearby barbecue and picnic areas. Plus, its proximity to local eateries means you can easily grab a refreshing drink or meal after your swim.
I would love to go back when the weathers warmer and the bar overlooking the...
